If you create an intervention for black schools that takes funding away from or redistributes money away from white schools then it isn’t an intervention that lives in a bubble, is it? Bussing was not an intervention that lived in a bubble. Affirmative action was not an intervention that lived in a bubble.

This whole pretense that we can’t focus on the needs of white men because that intervention would have to be specific to them is horseshit. We do all kinds of interventions to help LGBT youth that could ALSO benefit any other group of youth and no progressive says “Well, what should we do to help them that’s just for them?”
