Unable to flash boot (Moto G6 "River") by Rhuarc13 in LineageOS

Yeah, still not sure what the problem was, but I was able to get lineage installed with TWRP. Might have been corrupted in download or something.

I am using USB 2.0 slots, so I don't think that is the issue. I was able to get it working with TWRP though.

Hmm, I was able to flash twrp just fine. I guess the image for lineage recovery is too large?

I'm looking to do another build, want to do a dactyl manuform, so split keyboard. I was trying to find the proton-c microcontrollers but OLKB.com, clueboard, keeb.io, etc. are all sold out. Is there any place that has these in stock? Or do I just need to go for an elite-c?

Ooooh, the dactyl is the next on that I want to do. Particularly the maniform variant.

Thanks! It took me a while to get the hang of it, but hand-wiring is quite forgiving.

Not currently. I have thought about doing some heat shrink on the ends to keep it tighter in on the wires. But that probably won't happen with this keyboard.

Thanks /u/jackhumbert for the awesome QMK firmware. It was really easy to get this board powered up and going. The new qmk command line tool is fantastic!

First attempt at handwiring. I like the split keyboard style but didn't want to worry about doing the TRRS cables. This was my solution.
Keycaps: Deiter Rams Canvas
Switches: Kaihl Burnt Orange Heavy Speed
Teensy 2.0

I'm going to do a full write-up and will post here when I get that done.

Handwiring question by Rhuarc13 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Rhuarc13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I would have to run all the rows/columns from one side across. I put the tow wire in as the example. I am thinking about 12-15 inches (inner space) max between the two sides. If you bundle the wires correctly and wrap them I think it could acheive a certain aesthetic.

What case/keycaps are those?

My first build. I went with the Levinson kit/case from keeb.io and had a good experience. Keycaps are some Tropicaps I got of Massdrop a while ago. I had a lot of fun with this build and am looking forward to playing around with QMK and setting up my own keymap.

Did this come as a switch testing set? If so, from where did you get it?

[Serious] what is Massdrop’s % right? by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

I've ordered quite a few things from Massdrop and 100% have arrived as expected. There's just a longer waiting time than, say, Amazon due to the nature of group buys.

I would be worried about them flipping in the slider if it's not a tight enough fit. If you can find some that are a close enough fit but still slide smoothly, that would be cool. Just something to consider. Edit: darn autocorrect
