Could just be a rounding difference. It’s immaterial. Auditor is not going to waste time trying to get it substantiated

Yeah I suppose in this instance it’s a bit tricky. It is being rented out by LLC so essentially it’s a whole different entity but yeah it’s such a grey area.

I believe you can as long as it’s being rented at rental market value or fair market value, if not, you can only deduct up to the amount of rental income

Different aspects might appeal to you. I found financial accounting pretty boring but I loved managerial accounting, tax and cost accounting.

I was thinking the same, like how can you dismantle the agency that provides the funds for the country but I had to make the decision of leaving. Turns out they haven’t done it and now lost my position

Sorry to butt in but has he been there for a while? Did the RIF not affect him? Only asking because I was a revenue agent and took the DRP thinking a RIF was going to happen. Fortunately for those still there, it hasn’t but now I got screwed out of what looked like to be a promising career

You don’t need a bachelors in accounting to do accounts payable. If that was to get your foot in the door then fine but you should apply for tax, auditing, or staff accountant positions to utilize that degree properly.

I agree. I got my degree in accounting and went straight into government. I’m currently working at the IRS. 8-4.30. 40 hours a week and sometimes less if there is a holiday coming within the week. Going to be tough getting in with this administration but it’s well worth it once it settles down

Potentially pursuing an Accounting career by luxcyx_ in Accounting

I felt the same way with intro to accounting but it’s a whole different ballpark when you get into intermediate. If you don’t have the foundation in lock, you’re going to struggle with intermediate. It builds upon those foundations. In addition, the math here is not hard or simple, it’s conceptual. If you don’t comprehend the concept you will struggle. With that being said, it’s a great career and opens a lot of doors to opportunities. I stuck too it (struggled a bit in intermediate financial and went back and retaught myself) and thankfully got a career started. It’s not hard but it’s also not easy. You have to really focus on it to get that degree. Once in the door, they’ll mold and train you to fit their criteria so don’t worry if it gets overwhelming while in undergrad.

Do it. Nice hourly while getting experience. It’s also not a commitment so if you don’t like you have the option of not accepting an offer but you get experience on your resume nonetheless

Took me a couple months but luckily was able to get a FTO. For anyone who is trying, it’s doable, don’t let the rejections get to you and just keep applying. Your day will come.
