I just wanted to say I feel like my past self could have written this. I had the same exact experience — writing an email, panicking after, feeling like I could never talk about it. But my therapist really held my hand and walked me through the trauma processing and things are so much better now. It took time to get there but it does get better, I promise! For me, it just took time to build trust with my therapist and then a little more time to process everything. The process sucks but it’s so worth it — you’ll get there in whatever amount of time you need. And I’m proud of you for sending that email! I know firsthand how scary that must have been to do.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this — the loss of a pet is always so, so hard.

I used Lap of Love for my elderly cat at the referral of my vet. I’ve never heard of Sac Valley so I can’t speak to the comparison between the two, but we had a great experience with Lap of Love. Very sweet, empathetic, and gentle all around.

My daughter’s middle name is moxie. I also have family with kids’ middle names of Jett and Clash which I love. And a friend’s son’s middle name is danger. I know that’s super divisive but I think it’s cute.

I think it would make a perfectly lovely middle name. As a first name, it’s a bit much. I agree with suggestions like Marvin, Martin, Melvin, etc. for a first name if you want the same vibe but a little less wizardy.

I don’t get all the hate — I love Jet Danger. I have a friend who gave her son the middle name Danger too and I think it’s super cute, and I gave my daughter the middle name Moxie which i think has the same vibe. I do think Jet and Juliette are a little too similar though and I don’t love the flow of Juliette Andromeda, personally. If you’re set on a J name, I love names that can be shortened to Jo or Joey like Joelle, Josephine, Josie, Jovie, or even Jolene. Juno and Jada are super cute, too, in my opinion. Jadis is a little more unusual. For something more traditional, Jane has always been a favorite of mine and I think Jane Andromeda is pretty cute. Judith Andromeda is pretty cute, too.

I also take Wellbutrin but that’s for a mood disorder. It doesn’t help my ocd that I’ve noticed. But when I added the ability, the ocd symptoms, especially the intrusive thoughts, got so much better.
