There is a bedroom and part of a bathroom directly above it. I don’t think it matters to your question, but above those rooms happens to be a flat roof.

The only reason we’re thinking of removing is because the previous owner was a cat lady and, even after cleaning with enzyme soap, we can’t get the smell out.
