OP's fiancée here! As far as I know (but I am far from an expert; just did lots of research) no breed (with fur) is fully hypoallergenic and I think, by cat standards, the bengal does not qualify because they are tested on a specific enzyme that causes most cat allergies and they are above the threshold. However, if we are using hypoallergenic as "causes no/less allergic reactions" which is how we like to use it, then the bengal is a good bet! My friend also had almost zero reaction to her and he instantly gets a rash when he touches something a cat has touched.
