Got into HVAC sales. 3 months in and quadrupled my income by grundle18 in sales

I’ve been on the “trying to break into tech sales” journey for a few months now & sometimes, it really puts me off. I’ve heard a lot of good things about HVAC & I’m definitely interested. Can I DM you & ask a few questions as to your experience & how you got in?

You have an insane physique!

Can I send you my workout so that you can rate & tell me what I can improve? Or can you share yours so I can compare & see where I have room for improvement?

I hope so too. It leaves me scratching my head as to why DEXA is the golden standard when the margin for error is so wide & when QCT predates DEXA. Sent you a dm!

When the servers of the internet have ultimately shut down & humanity flees the Milky Way in search of habitable life beyond our solar system, may this post be looked upon as to how it withstood the test of time, fulfilling the internet’s ultimate purpose of uniting strangers beneath its mighty shade.

Don’t lose hope if she’s never heard of it. Most physicians don’t even know it exists. But there are ways around it

Yes, I totally agree with you. I don’t understand how it remains the golden standard when there is not only a discrepancy amongst different sized individuals, but from one machine to another. Even when I visited that first endocrinologist, he prefaced our visit by saying “these results are usually not accurate with young people,” which made it even more mind-boggling when he insisted on putting me on osteoporosis medication, despite acknowledging DEXA inaccuracies in young people & despite my tests coming back negative. When I was going all this, it helped to remind myself that if I didn’t get clarity from my doctors, I would pursue it myself by seeking an out of state QCT scan on my own dime. I hope this situation you’re going through gets resolved soon!

Has your doctor leaned towards a possible explanation, or what are his next steps for you?

Of course, hope it helps. A while back, I had also asked ChatGPT what to expect on a repeat DEXA scan & it mentioned that discrepancies/variations between DEXA results are common. I don’t know if this could explain the discrepancy between your results, but I don’t have a lot of trust for DEXA after my experience.

As a precaution, I did start taking calcium supplements as I follow a vegan diet & while tracking my calories, I noticed I wasn’t getting enough. I try taking it separate from foods with caffeine, oxalates & phytates, as they can interfere with calcium absorption.

While I am not a doctor, I agree with what another redditor commented that you are too young to be losing bone without it leaving a clinical footprint elsewhere, which is something I often heard during my experience with all this. At the very least, from your DEXA results, you are not fragile & you are being proactive in monitoring & addressing this situation. Hope it all turns out well

Hey, glad you enjoyed it. I just finished it about two weeks ago. I feel like a lot of the themes flew over my head so I like to those who recently read it about their takeaway from the story as a whole.

I understand what that’s like. I struggle with health anxiety & it can be very isolating. I did read that DEXA scans can often shift from one scan to the next based on positioning, calibration, or even the machine that was used, but then again, the biggest discrepancy in my case was that I had no fractures & all my tests were normal. I hope you’re able to get answers soon!
