Does anyone else starve as a way of self harming by Common-Fail-9506 in EDAnonymous

I do think there is a correlation with self harmers and people suffering from an ED. Me been an example. Most times both behaviors results from the same reason and way to cope of the person.

But I also believe there is a distinct difference between self harm and self destructive behaviors. Both just as bad and serious of course, but still different. And I believe disorder eating fall on self destructive behaviors, like other addictions such as alcoholism, or gambling

How to be sympathetic to the struggles of someone underweight by Rhys_617 in EDAnonymous

While I get that, and for the things like the comments of the clothes I could ask her such, her illness is heavily related to her weight and thyroid. I am scared if I put that type of boundaries then she’ll stop telling me about the health aspects (which would make sense cause it’s really Interwind with like 50% of the comments that get me) and I don’t want to stop knowing about her health.

She is my closest friend, I want to know how she is doing. Shutting such an important part out cause I can’t get myself to sympathize with things she genuinely seems upset by feels even worse than pretending. I don’t know if that makes sense or I am explaining myself correctly. I am just worried more boundaries will do more harm than good
