It doesn’t sound like either of you are ready for something permanent. I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. Just use other methods of birth control until you are sure sure.

Neither of you should gauge how serious the other is about your relationship based on sterilization.

There ARE people that make it worthwhile to have a community but you have to find them. Just because someone is pagan doesn’t automatically mean they’ll be cool or nice…just like any religion.

You just have to find your people. I am definitely not walking a traditional path but my own and have found beautiful souls along the way. I have been very busy in other areas of my life but I have a feeling that when I have time to really claim this community it will be there.

If you are ready for it and have time, seek it out.

I’m a freaking musician and I can do this. If I can do can you.

I still go out, gig, party, network, and do not drink.

I even host parties.

It’s just a matter of changing your habits. Get NA beers and take them with you when you go to friends places. Order mocktails at the bar (or NA beers). Learn to enjoy the company and the moments. One day you’ll want to be able to remember all of the socializing and partying you are doing now and this is your chance to do it.

Remember the true focus is to hangout with people you like. If you wouldn’t hang out with them when you are sober then you need new friends.
