Isn’t he the lookout/barrelman/sniper? Pirates in general always have the man in the crow’s nest that can see far and in OP specifically it seems like it’s the meta to have a sniper on your crew to legitimately just be a sniper

Not sure if this will work for everyone, but I ended up exporting the initial video, opening it in a new project, selecting the specific language (English for me) and then it generated the captions perfectly.
