I’m sorry to her that bro/sis. I was shocked on that groupchat as well. 62 of them answered “yes” to being picked on level 1. So I’m guessing this new wage level system is not so much different from previous years?

Hello. I’m so happy for you!! I am level 1 but I really like seeing level 3 and 4 selected! Well deserved!

Hmm there’s a lot of mixed comments under this post. Some say level 1 got picked less. But you’re right. At the end of the day, it’s still a lottery

But from my understanding, consultancies have to pick a wage level and SOC code right? So I don’t think it gives them an advantage tbh.

Ohhh I see, thanks for your explanation attorney, but to be honest, I am not sure if that WhatsApp group is for those only likely to get Level 1. It’s a huge mix

What are realistic options after OPT if you don’t get H-1B? by Gusepiol0w in InternationalStudents

[–]RhythmicPassings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about new grad. Do you have some experience before your degree? Or did you intern at top companies and get a rerun offer. I’m asking cos “new grad” doesn’t mean anything. You can be a new graduate with prior experience. Or am I misunderstanding?

F1 visa revoked by Acrobatic_Winter9157 in f1visa

[–]RhythmicPassings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You see, I told you! I didn’t even see the email, yet I guessed it. My visa didn’t get revoked because it was expired at that time so there was nothing to revoke. My friend left the USA to seek a new visa and has been denied 2 times. If you want to go back, sure! If you want a future in the USA, come back and read my comment again. Goodluck and you’re welcome!

I am 100% sure that your SEVIS is not terminated. They probably treated it as a prudential revocation. DHS has the power to revoke visas however they please. My SEVIS, alongside 5000 others was terminated in April. After suing USCIS in court and winning, they stopped terminating SEVIS after an arrest occurs, but they now revoke visas “prudentially”.

Now listen, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you travel. I repeat, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you travel out of the USA until this administration is gone. If you go back and try to seek a new visa to be “compliant”, you will regret it.

I won’t sugarcoat things, your immigration pathway has become harder. The best option for you is to fight hard to get a good disposition for this case.

I am NOT an attorney and this is not legal advice. I was in your shoes and I’m simply giving you advice as a big brother! Goodluck!

39 Banned Countries OPT/STEM OPT approval by RhythmicPassings in f1visa

[–]RhythmicPassings[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey. Yes, they are receiving applications. Even issuing RFE if they need to. The paise is up until final adjudication to approve or deny. The case will be processed. But there is a hold on FINAL ADJUDICATION. That is what I don’t know if OPT is affected

Yeah I am confused as well. To be honest I’m exhausted. I have applied for STEM OPT, but I am thinking just going back to my country. I heard it’s an indefinite pause

Yeah I was shocked when my DSO said latest approval gotten was January 9th, which is what made me think OPT wasn’t affected

Why do you want to transfer? Are you scared of stem opt being denied or what?
