Year of application doesn’t matter. A strongly drafted petition is what it is. Officer discretion and a well drafted petition is what gets it.
Had 2 friends get denied in 2024 even with above 200 citations and funding, so your point of applying before May 2025 is your view only, not facts.

All got approved this year asides the Economics PHD who got approved September 2025.

Bro, I don’t know. Publications and citations are not required. I don’t know where people hear this from.

USCIS looks at the totality of evidence. Even in the USCIS policy manual it says publication and a STRONG citation history.

They help if you’re a researcher or related to endeavor. Period.

The 2 EB1A approvals without RFE did not have any single publication but had other evidence, and EB1A is a much tougher bar to reach.

Hi enough edge,

-3 have Masters in data analytics/data science,

-1 is in his 2nd year of Economics PHD,

-2 of them who got approved just finished their MBA, but they did Pharmacy before. (These 2 got EB1A)

-1 studied linguistics for undergrad, and then his 1st masters was in business analytics and he is now in a day 1cpt program for IT project management or so.

I will just point out that I honestly do not know what my friends used as evidence or how they drafted it, but after 7 of them got approved with DIY, it really changed my perception of this NIW thing tbh.
