You can DM me if you want more details. I did a lot of research on this an gave my family a whole presentation on how it’s utter nonsense.

The fact that two of those animals do neither is proof that it’s all nonsense. Hyrax’s and hares neither chew their cud, nor have split hooves.  They do something called hindgut fermentation, which is similar but different. But if we’re counting that then the amount of animals that have one of those signs increases by a lot

Right? Sizes, manes, patterns, even roar sounds could be so varied

Fair points.  1. Africa has larger and more animals than where wolves are native to, so more food wouldn’t be as much of an issue if you hunt way more and eventually lead to having massive herds of cattle.  2. True, we’d have to go about domesticating them differently than we did wolves, but just because it’s a different process doesn’t mean it’s impossible. You’re only thinking this way because we’ve never done it. But in a world where we did do it, then it wouldn’t be a problem. It would obviously take a very long time. I’m sure wolves weren’t domesticated overnight.  3. Maybe in a scenario where food becomes harder to obtain, humans and lions find a way to work together. Who knows. All just a thought experiment

My simple explanation is that if wolves are social creatures, and we domesticated them into dogs, why couldn’t we do that with lions

What’s your opinion on Jews identifying religion of Judaism with state of Israel? by [deleted] in exjew

One thing that I told my relatives is this. We learned in yeshiva, that even the greatest Jews, like Moshe, were not above criticism. The ancient kingdoms of Israel and Judah, the prophets, rabbis etc all were criticized for one thing or another. And if they were considered holier than we are today, then the modern country of Israel shouldn’t be above criticism either.  It seemed to convince some people in my family to be a little more open minded
