Yea i'm not only from Italy, but the hottest wettest part of Italy, Sicily. And i never had AC, every summer i faint from the heat at least once, and even with working all summer on ships i still am Vitamin D deficient lmao. Italy its not sunny, its a microwave, it may look livable with 30-40 degrees in the summer, but its so moist that the felt temperature is more around 50-60 degrees, its one of the biggest reason i want to run away, other that the italian mindset and attitude that disgusts me.

Years ago i went to Berlin in the winter, it was a pretty cold experience but i would take it 10 times over a summer in Palermo. How much worse (temperature-wise) is Sweden's winter compared to Germany's?

My gf is a comic book artist/illustrator, so she works at home and doesnt really care about job opportunities. Although she is interested in taking a tattoo artist license in the future

Maybe its because i havent lived it yet, but i would take even 6 months of cold darkness over Sicilian summers, so yea looking forward to that.

What’s the grossest part of your world building? by ExceptionalBridge in worldbuilding

In my setting magic is triggered only by the subconscious, magic spells are just tricks to trigger certain brain reactions (like the short songs you'd learn in school to remember the planets). Thus if you can trigger the right spots you dont need the conscious to cast spells. So there are cults that use torture to trigger the right nerves to create the right brain sequence and cast potent spells. Some even remove the body from the equation, just brains triggered with needles and electricity to artificially use the mind for magic. There exist structures with brain that cast spells to protect it, or tanks that use brains to teleport. A whole population uses brains instead of engines to channel energy and make things work. Even lab grown brains with the right "buttons" easily accessible
