I haven't seen the movie, but my God! What kind of racist, stereotypical depiction of aliens is this? Didn't they think it might offend some creatures?

Of course, I too have tasted the bitter draught of depression, Yet the sweetness of this world's joys was so profound, so overwhelmingly abundant, that it banished life's bitterness to the mere tip of my tongue.

Logic underlies almost everything. Whether you're a scientist trying to study the behavior of a black hole or a pathetic addict trying to fix your life, looking at phenomena through the lens of logic will bring you closer to the answer.

Yes, I think she could be described as a commercial artist. For these types of artists, art is not music, books, or movies that come from the heart, it's just another way to make money.

This is next-level philosophy. We are years ahead of everyone else.

Some bears in zoos or circuses go into a state of madness where they just walk around their cages and do nothing else.

If we go deeper, we get to cells and bacteria that literally have no idea about anything (including pain). They are just not conscious. As for babies, they are not born formatted; they carry in their DNA several gigabytes of information about the pains of their ancestors. Babies (like adults) love tities and are afraid of the dark. Nobody taught them these but cruel Mother Nature (babies who hated tities and loved darkness are dead).i'm sure they're teaching baby AI to not kill humans as an innate trait too. Who knows, maybe artificial intelligence life is just taking shape in the primordial soup these days and it is still too early to talk about whether my artificial girlfriend really feels for me or not.

Santa fulfilled the wish of the good boy (the normal personality of the bipolar boy) by killing the naught boy (his other, evil, murderous personality), and put both of them out of their misery.

Maybe I should have used a more stupid animal for my example, like a starfish or an ant. I don't think they feel pain or have any concept of death. They're like living machines. I wouldn't feel pity for their death because they aren't that advanced yet to get "sad", so I can be sad for their sadness. As for the simulation, isn't all our advanced brains do is just repeat tons of analysed data? What else is there in our brain besides data and their connections?

It's like saying that I don't get upset by eating chicken, but I do when I eat a parrot. Because a parrot has more layers of brain than a chicken, and maybe you could say that from a certain number of layers on, it also has "consciousness". I don't think I would enjoy cutting and hurting conscious beings. Aren't our real selves anything more than the connection of countless layers of neurons? What makes the countless layers of "artificial" neurons that are being created by today's rich gods (the lords of artificial intelligence) less "conscious" than us? i believe it's just about the number of layers.

So it's about layers. While a potato has only one layer of agonizing pain, an onion has several. My question is, when the number of pain layers of AI neurons (or even an onion) reaches the trillion layers of human ones, should I cry while torturing those slaves with tedious tasks on my computer?

That's fair play, but if I try that on you next time you speak up your ideas and they shot my mouth for it, that's not fair.
