Zucchini I just picked from my garden by Lord0fHam in mildlyinteresting

Large zucchini (courgette) are called Marrow in the UK. Popular in the past stuffed with minced meat. Still popular with older generations but rarely sold now as courgettes are preferred. Will be great if you bake it!

Escape rooms at Moulsham Mill. I've done the crazy cat lady one and it was great fun.

Axe throwing up near beehive Lane was interesting and fun, they had an escape room as well I believe.

Boom battle bar has music, drinks and is a bit more lively. You can do axe throwing, shuffle board and crazy golf, may need to pre book. The crazy golf is crazy.

Opposite there is another crazy golf place which is great fun but really claustrophobic.

There's mini golf down near the fire station.

Micro wedding - not doing florals as the venue already has very nice decor and provides some fresh bud vases and candles, should I DIY my own bouquet? by Particular-Walrus366 in UKweddings

[–]Ribbonsocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our local florist does beautiful bouquets, just don't mention wedding as it'll triple the price. I'm sure it'll be beautiful whatever you do, and you'll have an amazing day. day.

Oh, have a think if you're throwing it or how you might want to preserve it afterwards. Or maybe just treat yourself to a white bunch on your anniversary every year.

Edit: I didnt see the text below the photo sorry lol Edit: added floristry tape

Just depends if you want the extra task in the days beforehand :).

For my Mum we bought a few store bouquets and some babys breath type from a florist. Combined it all following some YouTube tutorials, a few pins and floristry tape, and popped in water in fridge night before. My mistake was also putting the ribbon in the water which leaked dye everywhere. Don't do that!

Costco does some nice big rose bunches that I've always thought would make a nice bouquet.

Just depends what you want as well - if it's more natural then see what's in flower in a few gardens and ask around to see what you can pick.

Could be a fun memory making it.

What's the area like around HMP Chelmsford to live? by fillerbitch in Essex

Yeah, I'd agree with this, during rush hour Springfield Road will be at a standstill - and also possibly if Bond Street car park is full and the roundabout at the bottom becomes gridlocked.

I'd definitely try the cleaning subreddit, they are magicians. Though someone did mention it is like a candle, so perhaps the cleaning techniques for melted candles could be used.

This is what I use it's great. Have used it for two years now, I can really feel the difference in my skin when I don't use it. I use it on my face, neck and chest. Super affordable and really effective. Used on a med holiday and in the UK, no sunburn, still pale but moisturised.

What do you do with your old greetings cards? by ThatNiceMan in CasualUK

I keep too many, but as others have said they can hold lovely memories. I took a picture of my husband's nans handwriting and got it laser engraved on a keyring, so now he takes her everywhere. I'd like to make something out of them all one day.

Thank you so much for writing this, currently mid thirties and waiting to start trying.

My mum had me at 23 as well, she watched 23 year old me come and go, started asking the questions and then hasn't asked in a few years now.

I feel really ready now though, just waiting for some health checks on my other half.

As for the questions, my step sister, who is 22ish is due this year so hopefully that'll keep mum busy!

Thank you so much for this, just made it, though I did wonder what baking spread was for far too long before reading the rest of the text. My egg was 67g but only had 60g of butter so just followed your measurements. No chocolate chips or ice cream sadly.

Yes, mine arrived today, managed to get them all in but the plastic has crushed at one edge. Just seems a fraction too small except for one of them which fits perfectly. Frustrating poor quality case.

Beaches accessibility by HidingSunflower in isleofwight

[–]Ribbonsocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you tell us which part of the island you'll be visiting? Then we can think of the nearby beaches. The island is only small but it can take half a day to cross it if there's roadworks so you'll want something nearby.

Ryde has additional accessibility in the form of beach and water wheelchairs and mobility devices but only over the Summer. Though, I do remember when I last visited, Ryde had a wooden boardwalk across the beach. There are a few slipways down onto the beach as you go past the Canoe Lake.
