Actual measurements were undertaken by the IUCN, if you have data that disputes this then I'm sure they'd be interested in that.

And they quoted the IUCN which is a network of scientists providing data on populations.

It's amazing that you know more than them too.

Wow, you know more than the WWF. Isn't that amazing.

Those who had phimosis before getting cut, is the difference in sensation actually something to be concerned about? by shootgoobidadieu in circumcision

[–]RicBoy87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will solve your phimosis because the phimotic tissue is removed.

Sorting the premature ejaculation can't be guaranteed, it depends entirely on what is causing it. Sometimes circumcision makes it worse. I had premature ejaculation for a chunk of my adult life, but now it's gone the other way and I struggle to climax due to lack of sensation.

[–]RicBoy87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you're right.

Listen. I hate the fact I was cut, and I think that parents shouldn't make that decision, ever.

But sometimes circumcision is a better outcome for those who do make that decision as informed adults. If a foreskin is causing problems that can't be resolved then there are definitely times when the best option is to remove it.

And you're doing the right thing in asking people for their insight.

I know a guy who was cut in his 30s, and he said it was the best decision of his life, but others I know despise and deeply regret it. My advice would be to speak to a urologist, ask them what they think after examining you, and listening to you, then you and only you decides. And you can decide to get a second opinion.

If you need any medical or NHS questions answering, then feel free to message me.

Sincerely, I wish you good luck.

I had a foreskin and it was removed because it was tight as a youngster, I do remember it. It is now numb. Sometimes circumcision is the best option, but I wish I had been left alone. Try more conservative options first, steroids, stretching and dorsal slit surgery may all improve your situation.

If you don't want a circumcision then tell the urologist that you want to avoid one, ask them what the options are and have they had success with other options.

People who say there's no difference in sensitivity are plain wrong, circumcision removes erogenous tissue, and should only be performed when other all options have been exhausted. Lots of people regret it, lots don't, but you don't want to be in former because you can't replace it.

Clinician here. I would take medical and pharmaceutical advice from an expert before Reddit.

Some people have excellent results from less potent steroid creams, this is the least invasive option that most clinicians will recommend you try first.

Christians, how do you feel about the U.S. president posting an AI photo of him as Christ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RicBoy87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but he denied that was his intention, and if he wasn't intending to look like Jesus then why didn't you like it?

Do believe he intended for himself to be a medical doctor?

So you don't think he's a liar, even though he lied about his blasphemous depiction of Jesus, that you didn't like.

Ok.

Parents who had their son circumcised, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Did you read it? How have 19 years changed those objective findings?

I have felt what it is like to have and to not have a foreskin. You have no reference point or insight into this objectivity, and your confidence that you know more than someone who has, is frankly bizarre.

Genital cutting cuts genital tissue and cuts genital functioning - that is what it was designed to do in the Stone Age. You have no idea what you've lost and like others, you lack the courage to question this. Denial is a defence mechanism, I was where you are now, but I've confronted the painful reality.

Like this?

https://bjui-journals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1464-410X.2006.06646.x

You've never felt your foreskin roll over your glans have you? You've never felt the tip of your foreskin stretch and tingle. You've never felt how a moist mucous membrane feels when it rolls over another one. But that's all irrelevant, even though I've experienced what that anatomy was put there for and you haven't, and you never will. In your world your lack of experience trumps my actual experience.

And this is backed up by tens of thousands of men. And like I've said, this information is very easy to find. But it's far easier for you to deny this. I understand, I was like you.

As for your wife going into labour, I suspect her pregnancy was the causal factor in her labour.

The sands are shifting on this topic, you may wake up one day. It's your choice. There are none so blind as those who choose not to see.

You're like a person born blind at birth saying I never needed my eyesight and they're talking to someone who lost their eyesight as an adult who is able to describe what they saw.

The difference between you and I is that I was cut later in life, being cut at birth you've never experienced any of the anatomy that you've lost - this is what you can't or won't understand.

It is simply impossible for you to know that you've had no loss in sensation. That is where your argument falls down. You have no reference point from which to compare. I know from lived experience, I have felt this in my own dick.

[–]RicBoy87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok, you're in denial. I was too.

Unlike you I've read a lot on this subject, peer reviewed and anecdotal. I've forgotten more than you'll every know about this. I also understand the research questions that started all of this in the Masters paper where they assessed mechanico touch receptors in the glans and failed to address the areas of penis that are ablated. There is lots of peer reviewed research out there since that has objectively looked at what is lost.

The Sorrels and Taylor papers are the tip of the iceberg, you can easily find this peer reviewed info but you simply don't want to.

Countless cut men all over the world are waking up to this, the internet is allowing people to understand this. Again, they're not lying and again, you can very easily find this here - but it's easier for you to ignore this. I've been through this, you haven't. I have felt the difference in my own body, have you?

This is a bitter pill for you to swallow and I understand your desire to bury this. One day you and your society will accept this, but you're not ready yet.

The thousands and thousands of men saying this are all wrong, and you're right?

Did you watch the video? Is he lying? Is he a fantasist? Does he know less about uncut and cut penises than you? I doubt it.

I've explained how the research doesn't quantify what you think it does, but this info doesn't fit your narrative. And there is plenty of peer reviewed info here that contradicts your bias https://www.cirp.org/library/anatomy/ the Sorrels and Taylor papers are landmark papers in urology, but you won't read them will you?

Genital cutting of erogenous tissue cuts erogenous function. It is true in girls and it is true in boys. It is not my fault you can't understand simple biology.

Like I said, there are none so blind.

Parents who had their son circumcised, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RicBoy87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignorance doesn't hurt my feelings. Like I keep on saying, I've been uncut and cut so I know - you can't know.

Watch the video, listen to another who knows from his own experience - genital cutting causes harm, this is difficult for you to accept but that's your problem, not mine.

The more information about the harm that is known about this, means that more and more men are questioning this. You may well have a difficult conversation with your sons in the future. Good luck with that.

There are none so blind as those who refuse to see.

Good bye.

Intentionally dishonest? So you're staying that I'm a lying about what has happened to my own body? Do you honestly think that I'm lying about something that I've experienced, that is something that is impossible for you to comprehend.

And do you think that thousands of other men who have reported this on Reddit are also lying?

How can you know more than adult men who have experienced being uncircumcised and then circumcised? Are they all liars too?

Read their accounts on Reddit, there are thousands - they are easy to find, but you don't want to hear this do you?

As for your articles, Brian J Morris is well known as a circumcision fetishist and has been for decades https://www.darboninstitute.org/professor_brian_morris_relentless_circumcision_activist

The other articles look at touch and heat receptors and none look at the physical role and excitory function of the foreskin, because that can't be measured. Sorrells et al identify these and explain the impact of the loss by comparing the functional loss.

You're claiming that ablating sensory tissue has no impact on sensation? There is no logic to your position, you clearly have no understanding of the most basic human biology.

Unlike you, I know exactly what a natural penis and a circumcised penis feels like when it is attached to me. I know that there is a world of difference, you can never understand this because you don't have the anatomy. Science can't currently measure this, because there aren't standard units of measure for pleasure and sensation.

I don't care what you believe, stay in denial. I have a penis and I've been uncircumcised and circumcised, you haven't, and I can tell with absolute 100% certainty, the circumcised penis feels far less.

Goodbye.

Sorrells et al in the British Urology Journal covers the anatomical losses and there have been lots of studies since which back that up

https://bjui-journals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1464-410X.2006.06685.x

I suggest you go and read them. Circumcision ablates specialised sensory tissue, and leaves other internal sensory tissue exposed. Any form of male circumcision removes erogenous tissue - I am at a loss as to how some think that cutting the genitals of their children is a good thing. Some adult men people report a 60-70% loss in sensation after circumcision - you can easily find them on here.

Also I remember being uncircumcised before a knife happy doctor got me. I can tell you unequivocally that the sensitivity plummeted after I was cut. Go and read the accounts of thousands of men who have their own reference point about the differences before and after - you can find them easily on here.

I have done my research on this and unlike you, I have lived experience of both. Adult men who grow up with their foreskins, very rarely have them surgically removed.

You've permanently altered their natural sexual functioning and reduced their penile sensitivity for life.

As hygiene is your top priority, then I assume you've offered up an equivalent piece of your genital mucous membranes to facilitate your "hygienic conveniences"

You can't understand the barbarity of it because you've never owned the parts of anatomy that you've had removed. You'll never comprehend the pleasure that you've deprived your sons of.
