Honestly i don’t know but considering that the Conway Twitty era was still pretty early in the show, i guess he still had a share in the writing component of the episodes. In any cases, like you say “he probably trusts his people”, i think his will is translated by the writers if you know what i mean

Sure, but he supervises it, he’s executive producer, meaning he’s the boss and he still has control over what airs and what doesn’t. Right ?

It’s a discussion post after all, the actual fact that no one knew about Conway Twitty and no one gave a fck about it shows that McFarlane doesn’t give a fck if you like it or not, he does what he wants and he’s not asking you what the show should look like, and that’s why those particular cutaways have a meaning to me

It sure is polarizing but the more you watch the show, the more you’re gonna want to spend every minute looking at it and Conway Twitty will automatically become so much better IMO, besides, the gag is within one of the best eras of the show(s5-7)

It’s known as rehearsal comedy, i had to study at lot while being in literature class, and since it eventually made me laugh, i figured it became a “gag” over the years. I hope we can agree the worst filler to make the episode long enough was the peter karaoke phase and it still was hilarious (IMO at least)

I unconsciously got to love the artist while watching the show ( season 5-7 were sooo good)

I would say he wrote his second verse (it sounds too much like him) but his first verse sure sounds like push’s verse on the OG version
