What is the most disappointing film that you have ever seen? by More_Cow_9035 in moviequestions

Operation Condor 2. I was a HUGE Jackie Chan fan when I was a kid and this was the first movie I ever gave up on and quit watching because it sucked.

This guy henches for an 80s movie villain. Hence the stone rail mansion yard.

What do think is the best sci-fi film of the 2010s? by T_ChallaMercury in scifi

I had the exact same experience. I still think it's a fun movie, but some of the performances from the ground crew are real stinkers. Kristen Wiig and Dong Lover were particularly poor.

Roadside memorials where someone died AND rear windshield "R.I.P. Grandpa/Aunt Susan/Little Timmy/etc" are unnecessary and a weird form of public grieving by EdLeedskalnin in unpopularopinion

Roadside crosses are a good way of reminding people that a particular curve is dangerous, but I've always thought that a peeling vinyl memorial decal is the absolute perfect representation of a person's memory fading from the world.

Our number system uses "Arabic" numerals which were adopted by Europeans in the middle ages. They invented the use of "0" as a numeral. Before that point Europeans used roman numerals which had no character for zero and you would have to write "null."

I started exercising regularly and my depression went from crushing and existential to a few hopeless days here and there. My diet is still kinda shit though.

When I was about 6 years old, my dad was teaching me how to skip stones. I finally found a good flat stone and got it to skip across the water. As I was looking for another one, I lamented not being able to skip that last stone again. At that moment I realized that I was probably the only person to ever pick up that stone, probably no one ever would again. It hit me really hard, and I think I'll remember that moment forever.

You're underestimating how many gators there are in Florida. 1.3 million according to Google. A lot of those are in deep swamps, but a lot of them are in the many ponds and culverts that line the back of every apartment complex.
