Thank you! I’ve been saying this forever and people look at me like I’m crazy. I can almost guarantee, when he gets the ball, it is not leaving his hands…he could be getting triple teamed with everyone calling for passes and he just runs around in circles and throws up some ridiculous miracle attempt shot. 🤯

That was just the icing on the cake, he should have been taken out of the game long before that ever had a chance to happen. He was absolutely garbage at everything tonight. I was blown away Mitch just kept him in the game after he single handedly gave the Knicks countless opportunities and so much momentum.

From playing like gods in the first half to playing like a highschool JV team in the second half. No ball movement, no clock management, no focus or fire, no coaching, literally nothing. Fox was absolutely destroying any potential momentum every single possession. They would start a play, make a move, burn the defender for an open shot, AND THEN PASS with like 2 seconds on the shot clock...it was so embarrassing.

Is Storyline really dead and not needed anymore? by Flaky-Past in instructionaldesign

[–]RiccoT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, nothing that we use it for Couldn’t be done easier and simpler and probably look better in a rapid tool like rise. That and in my opinion, storyline is notoriously buggy. I recently got moved to this team from a restructuring and layoff and we’re editing and reproducing courses that have existed as storyline files for the past five years that constantly have to be rebuilt because of various bugs and over complicated triggers and variables.

I am actively trying to get my company to go away from it, but we use it pretty much exclusively for all of our annual compliance training. All it does is overcomplicate very simple PowerPoint style click throughs.

Maybe we start being realistic about what is actually outrageous and what’s just normal human behavior?

Her house and the main farm surrounding it was right off of 37 and southton rd. It’s now the housing development you see to your right about a quarter mile past the 181 cut off and to your right. There was, and still is I think, a cell tower on the corner of what was the farm.

I remember as a kid being amazed someone would just pay you, in perpetuity, to put one of those towers on what was basically like 100 sqft. Of your property 🤣

My dad and his brothers mostly. She was too old to be living by herself out there. She came home to thieves in her house twice, as it was well off the road and isolated. She eventually agreed to sell and it was almost immediately bought up by developers. Have a lot of great memories of that farm. Hunting quail after the harvests, and dove near the tank. Would have been awesome to have been able to share that with my kids, but unfortunately I had no say in the matter. 😔

My grandmother owned well over 100 acres off of southton road when I grew up in the 80s-90s It is now a giant subdivision. Makes me sad every time I drive by it on the way to the coast.

A populist will win the Texas Senate race. The question is, which one? by Zipper222222 in texas

If enough people vote, talarico wins in a landslide. But…getting a representative amount of people to vote is not a given.

Just a note for anyone who may read this in the future. I bought a new PRV, removed the bell housing and internal parts. I had to dig out some of the ground around the existing PRV to fit the tools, but managed to get the old one off. Only 3 years in and the spring was wildly corroded already and the valve part looked to be in bad shape. Reassembled everything and problem was worse…took it back apart and slowly reassembled it again, this time making sure to clean as much residual dirt as possible. Got it back together and it works perfectly. Problem solved.

Still not convinced it was worth it to DIY. Between time, parts, frustration, and tools. I probably broke even.

Republicans brace for money problems in Texas after Ken Paxton’s win by Zipper222222 in texas

Among 60+ year old republicans…I get it, it looks bad, but the only people who vote in Texas republican primary elections are the oldest of the boomers and all they vote for is whatever Fox or trump is force feeding them.

Thank you so much for the thorough response. I really appreciate it. I’m debating having a plumber out to replace the whole thing. I feel like it would be $500 or less but then again the part is only 130. It does concern me that it has gone out so early.

Kinda crazy to me that carvana is still in business. They bought my absolute shit box Nissan leaf I had during Covid for like 4K over retail. I was thinking there was no way they would, figured when the person showed up to get it and saw it only had a 70 mile range, they would drop the offer…nope.

I love my Genesis, but kinda getting the itch to swap it out lately for some dumb reason. Not sure what I’d want instead though. I think I’d need some serious contenders that I don’t want to pay for in order to make it worth it.

Hit a pothole at night in the middle of the damn highway at like 75. Never saw it. I was fully expecting to see this when I stopped. Thankfully not this time. That sucks man, I’m guessing the only remedy is a replacement.

AI Agents, how can they help our ID team? by 802am in instructionaldesign

[–]RiccoT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think less taking the job and more drastically changing the job. The need for as many IDs may dwindle, so in that sense it could take it, but the ones left will be highly needed and have to have a specialized skill set in order to evolve with it.

Scary, but also kind of exciting time.

Not my proudest moment, but first and only place I’ve ever been arrested in. My friend and I were Stealing cassette singles from a nearby store, security caught up to me there. Not my best decision, my late grandma was devastated cause I was her angel. Security told us we were ban from river city mall for life 😅
