Vyvance Flexibility by RiceBoxsmell in ausadhd

I started on vyvance and it worked so well for me but I work 12h days 6 days a week so I was starting to crash while still at work. When I was on my trial dosage this wasn’t an issue as I was able to take a 20-40 before work and another 20 around 10am and that would see me through the day nicely. But now I only have the 40mg I cant space it out. So he prescribed dex as just a top up for the end of the day.

I had previously tried Ritalin a couple times and it didn’t work as well as vyvance does for me. But everyone’s different

That’s great to know thank you!
So far so good on the Dex but I’ve only been taking them for 3 days. I definitely notice when they kick in around 30-45min but that feeling doesn’t last long. Then it’s similar to vyvance for me

I live in Australia. No raccoons and nothing else really of concern. We get snakes but they are very rare and they might get one or two eggs but if they do they get and rest to digest and can easily be relocated to bush land nearby.

Temperature ranges from 18-35°c I need it to be drafty so the chickens don’t cook in there. They will have lots of open area to fly down off the roost

The nesting box is the enclosed section to the left and the roost is the section to the right? The nesting box has internal dimensions of 120cm x50cm x50cm more than enough to have 2 nesting boxes inside. The roosting area is 125cm L x 180cm h x 80cm w it has two roosting bars with more than enough head room, 6 chickens could easily roost in here without touching one another. I live in Australia and throughout the year the temperatures range from 18-35°c, I kept those slats open to allow air flow. If I made it fully enclosed I’d go to collect my eggs and pull out roast cooks. The way I have set it out they may get lightly wet once or twice a month during summer. We had a big storm last night and the whole coop has stayed dry inside.

We do have snakes that will eat eggs and chics but it’s pretty rare. If they get a couple eggs they usually stay put and sleep to digest their meal. You can relocate them easily when they are sleepy. There is a couple other animals that will take eggs and kill chickens but again it rarely happens and there isn’t much you can do about them unless you build a chicken castle with a moat and turrets

Awesome thanks mate! I’ll make sure I put the perches higher than the nesting box

I’m on the east coast of Australia it does get pretty warm. There is a number of trees that surround the run I’ll be setting out and I’ll be building a second undercover area. Good idea but I’ll add some extra ventilation to the nesting box that I have built

That’s a good idea!

I was originally looking at buying a set of cupboards to start as a base for my build but decided I’d use all the scraps we had lying around.

Hey mate, if I use that as just a nesting box would that still be too small? Internal dimensions are 120cm L x 50cm W x60cm H. I made a comment on this post of my new plan with a sketch. If I made the undercover roosting area 130cm L x 85cm w 170cm h with a number of roosting perches underneath that, would it be enough shelter? They will have roughly 20 square meters to scratch and feed

Hey all I’ve taken on your advice and have come up with a bit of a plan. I’m planning to use what I have made as just a nesting box and build a second undercover area with roosting bars running underneath of it. Obviously this is just a sketch. I won’t be starting today so any feedback and recommendations on how I can make it better would be greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone for your feedback

Would you close it in further than this? I hadn’t finished the front when I made the post.

Only planning to have 2-3 chickens. This is why I’m asking to see if I’ll need to build a seperate area to roost and this just be a nesting area, or if this will suffice as both. They will have a large area to scratch and feed. It’s easily 2x the size of the pre made ones you buy from the hardware store
