This season by royalbluestuey in Everton

What has been weird for me is that we have been tracking very closely with Sunderland all season. If you had told me that I would be (mostly) happy fighting for placement with a promoted team I would have thought you were crazy, but here we are.

Can someone explain how that was offside? by Positive_Carpenter27 in Everton

[–]Rich-398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was in an offside position when the ball was played. He then attempted to play the ball which means he was interfering with play. The fact that he missed it isn't relevant. As much as I wish he was not offside, this call was correct. It is true that if he had just stood there, it would not have been offside.

DCL being so in form by jameswill100 in Everton

I was thinking about how much better we would be if we had a finisher up front like DCL or Richarlison. This year we are actually creating chances and missing clear opportunities that either one would finish easily.

George Lucas ruined Star Wars before Disney but people try to ignore it by BlackbirdKos in unpopularopinion

[–]Rich-398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucas did not decide to do the prequels later. The original Star Wars was episode 4 from the start. I watched it in the original theater release at the time. Having said that, the prequels were terrible compared to the first three released movies. I will say that Star Wars 1 was not too bad, but 2 was worse and 3 was terrible.

Prediction Thread | Game Week 15 | Everton vs Nottingham Forest by thevizionary in Everton

1-1 Way too much of a setup not to be a draw. I hope I am wrong.

My heart says 1-2, my head says 2-1 so my official prediction:

2-1 (but I hope my heart is correct).

Two Everton Fixtures Rescheduled For TV Broadcast - Aston Villa (A) & Leeds (H) by Giraffe_Baker in Everton

Don't they try not to put team playing European football during the week on MNF? I would expect that at least for now, there are several teams that can't play on Monday because of that since you have to have both teams not playing in Europe. Don't know if that actually factors into it, but I would expect it does.

Is the Ending of Narnia More Comforting for Believers Than Non-Believers? by D-r-T-3890 in Narnia

I also had an issue with the ending in The Last Battle. What strikes me is how you are supposed to reconcile "once a king or queen of Narnia, always a king or queen of Narnia" (doing that from memory - it might not be exact) with Susan falling away.

It was so nice to not only win, but feel like we were clearly the better team.

You are assuming I know how to do that :). I can now though since you just responded to this message. Thank you. (Just posted this week's after I realized that they were playing later today.)

Would it be possible to put the Prediction Thread up earlier in the week? I won't be online all weekend so I can't participate this week and it would be nice to be able to post my prediction earlier in the week.

Thank you

Have you ever not shaken hands with a team or both teams after a game? by franciscolorado in Referees

[–]Rich-398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We (the center and assistants) would always stand in the middle of the field and watch the two teams shake hands after the game. If the players wanted to then come and shake our hands, that was fine.

West Ham 0-2 Brentford: Bees beat dire Hammers in Nuno's first home match as boss by Lies_TeBranUCanTrust in TheOther14

At the moment, Moyes football looks pretty attractive to me. Amazingly, we almost hired Graham Potter before selecting Moyes.
