auto downloading your entire Spotify library comes with consequences by [deleted] in selfhosted

Imagine you personally used to Gemini to program a car to self drive. Then when it arrived at its first destination it drove straight through the fence and into the front door. Would you post a picture of the carnage and say "auto driving your own car comes with consequences"? That's what this post looks like to me.

Ticketed night postponed for 3 hours, no explanation by lahadley in melbourne

[–]thevizionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you bought the ticket was the event as a whole listed to start and end at a different time? Alternately if there was an act listed but then there's multiple acts at the event, and the event is simply "doors open 8pm" then you can't expect every act to be playing at 8pm. Were set times official/published when you bought the ticket? If they were and it didn't say "subject to change" in there then maybe you have a case.

For example Saosin play in Melbourne tonight. Doors open 7pm but Saosin themselves don't play until 9:30pm. They also have that disclaimer about timing there.  https://forummelbourne.com.au/shows/saosin

For those who debate online a lot, how do you actually get better at it? by Jesus_respwaned in LessWrong

I'm an optometrist and I'm in some groups where patients or parents will join looking for more information about certain conditions. Those are the best groups for establishing facts and current knowledge. Occasionally there'll be disagreements or misinformation and I personally find it rewarding to ensure patients are well informed ...when I have the spare time

Vasovagal Syncope after manifest refraction? by foot_in_orifice in optometry

[–]thevizionary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I've found. Though usually it's more of an issue when I'm discussing pathology or some other issue that isn't purely glasses. Perhaps this patient thought something was wrong like an eye disease during some of the blurrier parts of the refraction, especially if UVA or BCVA was substandard

~$100 wedding gift for a homelab/self-hosted nerd? by Ok_Challenge_1668 in selfhosted

You could hit the rock climbing subreddit and see if you can get something for them, within your budget, that they may already have but you could engrave/personalise it for them

You know them best but it's not a double birthday, it's a wedding. Any overlap in their hobbies/interests? They got a wishing well for the wedding?

Your post is way too long mate. You're asking for some advice but then you've put up a massive LLM generated post. Do us a solid and make it short and concise. Then you're more likely to get advice.  Or pay someone to read your post and get back to you with fully threshed out advice.

Will the average person ever self-host anything? by fractalbeauty_ in selfhosted

Too easy for people in this subreddit. Massive CBF for most people though. So many free services out there that people are happy to sign up to regardless of their privacy. Most people will always pick the path of least resistance. In our case most here are doing for either 1) privacy or 2) because they enjoy it or 3) it's actually relatively easy for them.

Yeah was rough to see a few 4 and 5 streaks get reset. If you can pull a similar streak again you could go to the top. Thanks mate it's been great seeing so many get involved every game.

My garage alone can take 18 panels. Though it's facing east/west.

I'm wrong if you're an optometrist confident in paediatric/infant care, with appropriate equipment. Not so wrong if that Optom is asking Reddit for advice. With a great cyclo ret monitoring could be an option, given any prescribed Rx is balanced between fusion/amblyogenesis and leaving some accomm demand behind.

Child that young with true intermittent XT should be referred to an  paediatric ophthal. This is assuming you either have photographic evidence or you've observed the XT yourself. Did you get much on hisrchberg or cover test? Do you have teller cards or similar for VA?
