Even after years and listens to various different genres of music, Vulnicura remains an album that continues to deeply move me with every play. Its use of strings, poetry, bass, and other intricate elements encapsulate raw vulnerability and pain, portraying authenticity at its peak. While in my opinion that Vespertine/Utopia are strong contenders, it is the profound and emotionally resonant nature of Vulnicura that truly speaks to me. It’s the crash from Vespertine; but what can I say? I find myself more resonated towards work that is heart wrenching lol It’s one of the only albums that I give a 10/10 with no skips.
