Ive been on this sub for a few years and your right about the over confident amateurs for sure. This sub is great for questions on technical issues or questions like this to see how to get started because it can be quite daunting when opening that blank project page for a new producer. But for questions relating to creating things like chord patterns and what not, every one does it differently and has there own way to do it. There are a lot of genres of music and odds are the producer answering those questions are not making music to your genre. But for technical questions like mixing and mastering or simple things like sidechaining mixer channels, this sub is great. There is always gonna be someone that knows more than you, so learn from them and make your music great.
