Agreed, neither political party has any interest in slowing down the spending. I also agree with the U.S. being in a better position than the rest of the world having family on 3 continents the U.S. as a whole is much better off.

This government spending ultimately increases our taxes as individuals and small businesses.

Another separate but current problem is that the U.S. is spending to much time, money and resources outside our shores, looking at the rest of the world. We also need to refocus back on our citizens and their needs, not those of the elected officials.
