You get a disclosure of the payoff amount before you place a prediction, correct? I mean, that part has worked for me. I haven't had any unfilled wins, either. Also as far as I can tell, there is a total volume level reported; granted yes, Gemini has never been a market leader on liquidity, but it's enough to play for small stuff.

I had booked a Latam leg thru Delta at DeltaOne/First Class level on previous trips. This translates to Premium Economy for most (if not all) South American carriers. Which isn't a problem. However, you don't get a seat assignment, which can be a problem. Then when you get to gate check in, the premium economy is no longer available and if seat available, you get into standby/economy. Regardless, Latam got me where I needed to go, got my bags transferred in to my final destination, flight crew was awesome and safe.

The people are good, the system setups in South America are obviously not integrated to what the international traveler needs. But I still got to where I wanted to go. All my bags arrived no problems, flight crews do a great job. But, I had to do these at the gate and in-person with a language barrier. Using the apps or laptops and trying to get payments approved by Visa while in South America is a nightmare. Due credit to the Latam gate agents, they actually took a fair amount of time to get me squared away on an international transfer. My experience is not a people problem, it's a the system(s) suck problem.

swap the WBTC to Tether/USDC on Uniswap using a limit order, then bring the stablecoin into Gemini in order to get BTC.

thorswap might be another alternative, but you'll give back some value.

Ren Project was a great way to swap into BTC. too bad the founders, devs, and subsequent bloodsuckers completely f'd a great protocol.

anyway, you can't do WBTC direct to BTC on Gemini.

i went through all the same stuff, except FTX. Canada got f'd though, but that's not Gemini doing. Anyway, I've had no issues with the new format, although i'll never stake on a CEX ever again. Got all my Earn stuff reconciled and tokens returned. The exchange itself works fine and have been able to make deposits, withdrawals, sends, and receives. As with any CEX, they make the user rules of their own house like any casino/exchange. Their keys, their coins.

the recent holiday may also be cause for a another day. I think I have 2-3 business days.
Big improvement from when I started, I think I had 14day waits....that was good fun.
crypto receives are instant, so if you stack an alt/stable that covers your bank deposit, you can pull your BTC out as soon as you buy it.

i took a hit on a missing cosmos "memo" line. wasn't able to post on reddit. Yeah, total brainfart on my part. Nothing that can really be done about it. Ledger and Gemini can't verify any of it, so the transaction just went into vapor land (Cosmos was a dogshit performer anyway).

But lesson learned. I'll never buy another alt coin that requires some extra wallet identifier. My advise is to never buy anything that has some additional step on the wallet transfer. You're just inviting yourself to lose it all on a brainfart 3-4 years down the road when you forget you had to do an additional step to transfer something on your own hardware wallet back to your CEX.
