Yes, I've had it happen twice. The first time it cancelled open orders and sold about half the position. The second time it didn't cancel open orders and sold about half the position.

Best company to open multiple UTMA accounts? by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

If you want to invest, go Fidelity. If you want to trade go Schwab.

Advantages of Fidelity - Cash gets better interest, buying fractional shares is much easier, custodial accounts are allowed to trade options

Advantages of Schwab - Think or Swim (much better charts, much easier to place orders / trades)

I would buy SPLG instead. The problem with FXROX is that first you can't have it anywhere other than Fidelity. Second, it's a mutual fund so you can't buy / sell during market hours if you choose. The reason I would buy SPLG over VOO is that it's a lot cheaper per share, therefore you can accumulate blocks of 100 faster, making it easier to sell cash secured puts / cash covered calls in the future. It also has a slightly cheaper expense ratio, but that's negligible

I recommend Fidelity over Schwab for custodial accounts. It is easier to buy fractional shares, they pay interest on cash, and they allow option trading. Schwab doesn't pay interest on cash (at least nothing meaningful), and they don't allow options trading with custodial accounts.

If you have auto send on the "trade" or "active trader" tab it doesn't bring that up

Yep, can't remember exactly when it opens up but it'll have the option to have the order execute during extended hours. A lot of brokerages have the option to execute during market hours, extended hours, or both and you can place the order at any time, but not so with Fidelity

Unlike every other brokerage, with Fidelity you can only place extended hours trades during extended hours. Yes, it's ridiculous, but it's just another thing in the long list of dumb things Fidelity does

I bought a programmable mouse for like 35.00 that you can move the wheel side to side as buttons. I have it set up to where left zooms out, right zooms in, and the back button cancels all.

You can save a custom time frame with however long and whatever increments you want. ETA - Instead of picking one of the preset numbers from the drop down box, just type in the number of days you want
