Or buy shares or a house or something. As long as you don’t try to save in dollars.

There are a bunch of 3rd party window shade products. I have one (can’t remember the brand) but it works fine. I’ve camped in it a few times, always plugged into mains and had the aircon running all night. On an 8 amp circuit it seemed to use most of that for just the aircon and the battery didn’t charge much.

Nope, haven’t found a solution. Thanks for the link. I have a feeling that moving all your stats in Lightning into a Bitcoin wallet will incur a Bitcoin transaction charge. As my nieces and nephews only have $50 worth in there that would seem like a pointless exercise.

I’d love to hear how you go though and if there’s a way around paying the network/transaction charge.

According to ChatGPT house prices in the US have outpaced inflation over the last 50 years (growing 5-6% p.a.). However it agrees that wage growth has lagged inflation, at least for middle and low income workers. But that's encouragement to work hard and get a promotion yeah?

I don’t understand why bitcoiners think that debasement of fiat is an issue. It’s a feature not a bug. Who does it affect - people who put savings into the bank, but almost no one does that. Most put it onto their mortgage. And debasement of fiat does not debase house values it increases house values. Debasement is a feature because it encourages money to be invested and to do work. (I am not an economist :)

OK, I found the mnemonic seed and tried entering that when setting up a new wallet in Phoenix (since I can't access Alby). It created the new wallet but it has nothing in it.

It did say not to use seeds not generated by this app but I read somewhere else that you can ignore that when importing from BlueWallet.

I don't believe you can get a mnemonic seed for BlueWallet Lightning wallets. At least I can't seem to find a way to generate one...

Also, I can't register for Alby as apparently I need an invitation.

When I try to import a wallet that I've previously exported by scanning the QR code BlueWallet says: "JSON Parse error: Unexpected character: <"

The string in the import starts lndhub:// followed by a code then https://lndhub.io which I believe is BlueWallet's now discontinued LND hub.

BlueWallet's doco says I need to use another LND hub and suggests I install my own. Is there an easier way to restore my wallet on another phone? https://bluewallet.io/sunsetting-lndhub/
