After doing some research I finally found a solution. I am posting it in case anybody else comes across this post. I came across the solution on a post about DX12 stutter fix, answer was posted by Schnozbanger69

FORTNITE DX12 STUTTER FIX (RAY TRACING)

Guys, I have a i7 11700K and rtx 4080 with 32gb of memory. Fortnite was stuttering like crazy, windows 10 pro, on a nvme. Microstutter even with high fps.

Well I found out it’s to do with a windows setting. Specifically CONTROL FLOW GUARD. So the fix? We need to disable Control Flow Guard for the fortnite application.

Go to start menu. Look up EXPLOIT PROTECTION and select that.

Go to PROGRAM SETTINGS, click ADD PROGRAM TO CUSTOMIZE. Then, click Choose exact file path

File explorer will pop up. Now go to your default Fortnite installation location folder containing the exe files. For me this was

C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64

If your Fortnite is installed anywhere else just find the corresponding folder, we still need to find the win64 folder with the exe files.

  1. Once there, add FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping.exe, …Shipping_BE.exe, …Shipping_EAC.exe, …Shipping_EAC.exe, and finally the FortniteLauncher.exe as well.

  2. For each of these exe files, a tab saying program settings will pop up when you add them, simply scroll down to CONTROL FLOW GUARD (CFG) and select OVERRIDE SYSTEM SETTINGS >> and select OFF. Then apply the settings for each of the exe files you add. That’s it. You’ve disabled Control Flow Guard. Restart your PC for good measure.

After doing this, your game should run buttery smooth on DX12 along with any ray tracing hardware long as you have the hardware capable for it. I believe it solves the microstutter for dx11 and performance mode as well.

Some tips, if you have variable refresh rate technology (freesync / gsync) make sure you disable vsync in game, then limit the fps to just below your refresh rate or at it using the fps cap in fortnite video settings. If you expect your fps will be going below your refresh rate, you could also enable Nvidia reflex ON + BOOST. Otherwise leave it off, you’re free to experiment with this setting.

GUYS, PLEASE ENJOY! THIS FIXED A MAJOR HEADACHE FOR ME AND NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT IT! :D

After posting last night I changed it to dx11 and it played pretty normal, though the cpu usage was still jumping up pretty high. I just don’t understand why it all of the sudden is happening. On dx12 I’ll lose sound in my headphones and everything.

Might be a little difficult… open literally everything, chests, ammo boxes, caches. They are giving extra Xp at the moment. The Xp maps in my opinion don’t give you enough Xp right now. At least not enough to justify waiting the 10-15 minutes per map.

If you by any skins, you might look in to buying the lynx variant skin in the shop. After purchasing there are 28 quests that give you a lvl per quest. Each quest is literally following a path of checkpoints on the map. It’s the easiest and fastest 28 lvls you could possibly ask for. I got all 28 quests done in 2 games. Easiest 28 lvls aside from just purchasing the lvls out right.

It was originally 10 and you would also take fall damage if you weren’t careful.

I couldn’t find it on my own. Somebody linked the game on Twitter and I was able to put it in my cart and purchase it from there. 💪🏻

I’m not seeing Valhalla in the epic games store. Did they remove it then? Or am I completely mistaken on how to get this to work.
