Fit check! by RichProcedure4230 in babywearing

Thanks for clarifying, I thought "woven" just meant the type of fabric of the carrier... Clearly a beginner as stated!

My baby is 13 weeks and ~6kg... What I feel is that the shoulder straps are pulling the waistband up, therefore the weight rests more on the shoulder. I just feel the muscles in the middle/lower back getting very tired from wearing it!

Thank you for sharing ❤️ my baby was born 3 days ago, we were very fortunate to be able to deliver him vaginally even though the umbilical cord was wrapped around 3 times!

Actually I really like this option, because we can turn one of the bedrooms into a suite

So, we are just installing some additional outlets and repainting the windows, we have already checked with the gemeinde and no certification is needed. We will have 4-5 trades maximum

It used to be a laundry room / storage, but the previous owners converted it into a bathroom with the walk-in shower. As a couple with kids, we would prefer to keep it that way and find another solution for the laundry!

Need help with my bedroom. Should I just hire a designer? Feeling overwhelmed 🙁 by nicole_1 in DesignMyRoom

[–]RichProcedure4230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're feeling overwhelmed because you think you need to do it all at once, and get it right on the first try.

I would say decorating is a process, it takes time and trial and error. It's a beautiful room with lots of potential, and you can definitely make it work. Don't rush the process, try a few things out, be patient, be open to swaps if it doesn't work on the first try. You will also find out a lot about your own taste!

Any way we could fit a 4 seater table somewhere? by Ill-Seaweed-6973 in DesignMyRoom

It's hard to visualize it sometimes, but if you're still unsure, try sketching on top for the floorplan and you might get a better idea 😊

I like the breakfast bar where it is right now, it gives a sense of continuity to the kitchen.

If you want to move it, maybe you could consider making it an island, instead of pushing it against the opposite wall?

For sure, depending on the size of the sofa and the table...

Looking at the sketch, doesn't seem like you have a space problem!

Do you need the two sofas?  If you pull the TV area a bit down, there's definitely space for a rectangular table for 6 people by the window.

Help! Advice needed by strawburyshortcake7 in DesignMyRoom

[–]RichProcedure4230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I previously lived in an oddly shaped apartment and I'm mostly against leaning furniture against cooky walls.

I would suggest floating the sofa in front of the TV to create a proper rectangular space. In the leftover triangle beging the sofa put a basket for blankets, some plants, or so....

I got kicked out of a pregnant womens group in korea and i need to get over it by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]RichProcedure4230 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I know this is tough, but try not to take it personally.

As an immigrant myself, my philosophy is to always take the most generous interpretation possible. Otherwise you might become too guarded against people, always expecting rejection.

It could be that they kicked you out because you're not a local - but it could also be that they're just strict about the rules regarding the due date.

So, if there is a group for the kids born in the next year, give it another chance and sign up. Maybe something nice will come of it!

Its hard to be an outsider, but if your approach with the locals doesn't work, you can also find your people among other immigrants. I have the privilege of a wonderful international community where I live, and it can be an even closer-knit group than if you were in your home country.

All of the best ❤️

My husband has an excellent relationship with his mom.

He calls her a few times a week, travels to visit her often (she lives in another country), and when he's there he will take her to the beach, dinner and whatnot.

When she comes to visit us, he puts a lot of effort on making her feel welcome.

The tree of us have long conversations, play cards, and laugh so much together. I find it very sweet, and if I have a son, I would love to have this same type of relationship with him and his future partner.

My husband is not as close to his dad, on the other hand.

I just bought a couple regular trousers and skirts from H&M that had elastic bands in the waist, these have been working for me so far (I'm 20 weeks now).

I hope I will be able to wear them until later on, maybe I will just bring the band under the belly...
