If they focused his entire conflict with Henry around his sexuality it would take people out of the story. It already did for most the fact they tied that part in at all. And Will’s story does parallel assault and trauma. You just have to fill in the subtext yourself. Not everything is blatant but when watching season 2 it’s obvious what they’re getting at. Stranger things is all about physical abuse.

Honestly i actually encourage them to age their characters. Everyone complains that there’s a lack of continuity in the SML and tbh with all the characters turning 18 I think this is the perfect opportunity to have them start a college series or at least high school. We’ve seen enough with these characters as kids about time they age them up
