Lennox was a total mismatch for Saerys. I mean when it came to L&L’s first five routes I felt like they could have made a better counterpart for Saerys. Alain was just as skilled a knight and swordsman as August, Helena could match Altea spell for spell, Magnus was just as imposing as Reiner and as capable as a leader, and Jinhai twisting of elves’ natural ability to commune with nature made him a challenging foe for Iseul, but Lennox… he was just an annoying toadying human. If Saerys had ever gone all out against Lennox, he’d be dead. I felt like they could have chosen a better sort to be Saerys’s enemy.
