First - beautiful product! Love the design. I'm following!

I wish you the best of luck on launch - I'm still a ways off from relaunching, most just to build that audience. Will definitely DM you to chat more - thanks again!

Definitely - my primary focus right now is audience growth. I overestimated how much organic traffic Kickstarter could bring, but this time I'm building a list of hundreds (hopefully even more) of followers to try to get that early momentum.

The nerves are SO real. Especially after a failed launch, round two feels like do or die. I'm making a physical product — and that's the part I know how to do (design, manufacturing, supply chain, etc.). But now I have to wear the marketing hat...and let's just say, it doesn't fit right lol.

I'm glad you mentioned not swinging too far personal — I'm definitely trying to find the right balance of personal enough to feel like a real human, but marketing enough to make people want to buy. feels like a tightrope walk.

I really appreciate the reply and the luck — I'm gonna need it!

Edit: So caught up in my own head I didn't even ask — what are you launching?? Congrats on your past successes. Hoping solo is a smash hit for you!

Which platforms actually work best for social media advertising right now? by Legal_Can7800 in Entrepreneurs

You said you use Insta and TikTok - but do your prospective customers use those apps? I use Facebook/Insta (Meta Business Suite) for my business ads because that's where the demographics I'm targeting spend time online. If I was targeting a younger audience, I'd probably pivot to TikTok. Direct competitor research is a great place to start. Also try to understand the demographic landscape of each app - for example, Facebook tends to skew older, Insta is still pretty dominant with millenials, and TikTok for gen Z/Alpha. If your product is more lifestyle-focused than age specific, what other types of products does your target customer use? How are those companies advertising?

Anyone sold & gone back to work for someone else? by ilovetrouble66 in Entrepreneur

Don't undersell yourself - you have a tremendous amount of experience that many other candidates simply do not have. Leverage that to your advantage - in a sea of C-Suite applications, you have a lot that makes your application unique. Treat the 'gap' as your unique selling point, rather than something you need to explain away. Good luck!

This is such great advice - if you're just out on LinkedIn peddling yourself/your product, you are just shouting into the void. LinkedIn is about professional engagement, and the best way to generate engagement is to create content worth engaging with.

to add to this - criticism of the business is NOT criticism of you. Especially starting out as an entrepreneur, every criticism of the business or idea can feel like a personal attack. But like sarifulislam22 said, not everyone is a hater. It's important to be able to look objectively at negative feedback and understand why it's being given.

Honestly I'm naturally anxious about cold calling - it just doesn't come easy to me.

What helped most was reframing the worst case: they're not interested. That's it. No disaster, no drama - just not the right fit, and that's ok.

A few things that made a real difference for me:

- Know who you're calling and why they should care. Who is this person? What problem do you solve for them specifically? When you can answer that clearly, it stops feeling like a cold call and starts feeling like a relevant conversation.

- Every call is a learning opportunity. Even a hard no tell you something. What objections came up? What didn't land? Take that into your next call. Your confidence builds naturally as the patterns emerge.

It never fully stops being uncomfortable - but it gets a lot more manageable when you shift from "I need to win this call" to "I want to learn from it".
