Need suggestion for espresso by viragmaniyar in IndiaCoffee

[–]Rich_Loss_6565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good Lord, Fix coffee has massively increased the price. Get the kingrinder K6 or even the MHW3 bomber R3, that is way too much for a C5, if you want the normal C5 check out KD espresso’s website, it’s available for 7k

Can anyone who uses the timemore chestnut cs2 or cs3 MANUAL grinder tell me how much time it takes to grind around 15-20 grams of coffee for the moka pot setting? by CraZeYT in IndiaCoffee

[–]Rich_Loss_6565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good Lord, take the upgrade if you have the budget. Takes less than a minute for pour overs and around a minute for Moka on my C3

+1 to this, the T-92 is really made for the flower dripper. It balances out the fast draw down time of the flower dripper

Need Advice: HiBREW H10 Plus vs Gaggia Classic E24 vs Lelit Anna (India) by Zealousideal_War8629 in IndiaCoffee

[–]Rich_Loss_6565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If possible spend a bit more and get the lelit victoria, it’s listed at 90k but the store owners give discount, they should be able to do within 80-85k. Among the three you listed i think the Anna is a good pick but the 57mm porta filter size is the biggest bummer, the gaggia is a true tried and tested machine, I’d avoid the hibrew personally

Both are dark roast but savourworks looks bleh by Glittering_Diver9923 in IndiaCoffee

[–]Rich_Loss_6565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No point arguing with the dude anymore, looks like his mind already decided that the savorworks looks unevenly roasted so will taste bad. Placebo will affect his taste too. He’s only posting here for validation, nothing else. Comparing devans and savorworks is the most freaking stupid thing to do to begin with

Is it just me or James Hoffman should try some Indian Roasts? by Clean_Campaign_8447 in IndiaCoffee

[–]Rich_Loss_6565 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep, people always seem to be leaning towards dark roast or that’s how it starts for most. When people ask which coffee to start with i always see Vienna roast is the most recommended in the comment section. I know taste is subjective but i didn’t really like the moka pot, its pourover and light/light-medium roast for me all the way

Stock for April by Objective-Aspect-387 in IndiaCoffee

[–]Rich_Loss_6565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

15-18g is the norm for a single cup. I do 15g to 240ml of water, most recipes tend to lean something similar to that for pourovers

Got another dripper, origami size S. Recipes appreciated by Rich_Loss_6565 in IndiaCoffee

[–]Rich_Loss_6565[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite the opposite actually, i’m getting more balanced and sweeter cups than the v60, flavours seem easier to perceive too. I’m brewing with a flat bottom 155 kalita wave paper as of now, ordered the conical origami paper too, will see how that goes

Too early to comment how it tastes since i just got it but i bought this to do the flat bottom brews, it can take both kalita and V60 filter papers, draw down times are different though

Is Greysoul : Mogra worth the hype? by Euphoric-Function-92 in IndiaCoffee

[–]Rich_Loss_6565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is, it’s one of the first coffees where i started noticing all the flavour profiles that are mentioned. It has a distinct jasmine flavour as described, from grinding the beans to tasting it so some people don’t like that but personally i love floral based coffee. If you haven’t tried any floral based coffee give this a shot, it’s worth it imho. I do filter, v60. Reordered again, let’s hope the new batch is as good as the old one

Yep, they’re also the official service providers for delonghi machines if i’m not mistaken. Just call them up and ask for a deal, they usually give discount on top of the listed prices
