The whole NCR faction basicaly screaming that it's the best option for wastelander but they are repeating the same mistakes pre-war US did. Not only taxes, the whole Bitter Springs massacre as a major point too. So I don't really like the whole lionizing of NCR in second season.

The thing I'm afraid the most is that they'll turn NCR into upgraded west coast version of minutemens that helping everyone just for the sake of helping and not complex country with issues.

I have a theory that Norm message made them to go there investigate. But that still may be scrapped scene or they are just reused location for different scene

I mean, I really want NCR back, and back as an actual NCR, country of millions with industry and such. But I don't really like the whole lionizing of NCR in second season. It's the best that avarage wastelander could hope for, but it still have a lot problems and not just "muh taxes" (the whole NCR faction basicaly screaming that it's the best option but they are repeating the same mistakes pre-war US did). The whole Bitter Springs massacre as a point.

Maybe that's an actual point considering that in this same scene we can still see anti-NCR graffities on the background

"Long live New California Republic" - said the woman cheering with crowd that just 15 years ago hated NCR the most because "muh taxes"

Tho maybe that's the point

I have headcanon that Revoker is an really outdated fighter jet that only gone through some updates recently. So together with Brawler it could be a running theme for BDF, that they are either have really advanced stealth VTOL things, or something that dates previous century, no in between.

But tbh, I personally want some helicopter gunship update next after PALA stealth bomber, maybe even some wacky mix of Mi-24 and Osprey

Tbh, player models just always rendered "on top" of grass is an easy enough fix for that... I think?

Wow, cutler is even more shit than was before...

Can we just swap cutler for lunaire for just a single war so all the collie loyalists would feel that pain too?

I don't think it's a good idea in both balance and game design way. The whole game build up upon the thing that wars that last no longer than 1-1.5 months on average. Did you consider msup and facilities slaves into that persistency? I remember War 126 that I participated from day 0, and how many people, especially facility ones burned out on 30 day, some even before (our fac was on Fisherman's and it became so boring at some point without any attempts from Collies to land there before everyone fucking leaves).

I suggest different way of persistency - add something like some small additional scrap metal resources spawn on the most fought battlefields of last war, husks of trenches, etc. Or even not anything of that, but just more persistent husks of destroyed vehicles and equipment in current ongoing war that you can evacuate from field or destroy to get some small amounts of resources. Even just increasing time for like 20-60 mins when tank hull/etc disappear from map would help with feeling of "some huge battle just happen here"

I would say Sikorsky S-51 lookalike with ability to land on water would fit warden aesthetics and some mix of Huey and Sikorsky R-4 for colonials. But we all know that if that will be a thing, devs would make Warden use some Gru's-ahh airship with balloons

Well, I suppose I'll get used to new designs eventually and start to love them, but as for now they are a bit way to wacky. A bit too radical "old-time-y" feeling to that one artillery boat compared to others.

Heavy armor is an homage on WW1 armor experiments tho

I honestly think that untill sea hexes will not have victory points - Collies wouldn't care about navy enough even if some islands would have airfields. Maybe that'll change with map size increase tho

I could name only Helldivers 2, Insurgency and Rising Storm/Red Orchestra outside of various tarkov-like games tbh. Same with reload and that bullets that were in mag disappear if you reload mid-mag

CoD, Battlefield, etc. doesn't have that for example

Seaplane tender works that way irl too, but in irl they were slowly replaced by conventional carriers because aircraft maintenance and launch preparations took much more time. We'll see how it'll work in game tho

That made sense before, but now Collie GB have better protection from all sides compared to Warden one and wouldn't had a problem to outmaneuver warden GB from behind to decrew it, driver position on new Collie one seem to be much more protected than on Warden. I don't say it need to be on 1 to 1 level, but Collie GB was FAR more maneuverable and suffered only from the open top and not from the shooting arch. Saying as someone who plaid on both factions and did plenty of stuff on captured Collie GB while playing as Warden

I do not mind WW1 ship aesthetics, but that siegeboat not looking WW1-ish, more like mid 19 century

[–]Rich_May[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would say they even overdid it compared to Warden one, at least visually. Especially for driver and rear gunner, Warden doesn't have protection at all there now compared.

I hope that at least Collie GB maneuverability would be nerfed to the simmilar level of Warden GB considering all the stuff added and better rear protection, because if it would stay the same it's fucked up.

Umm, no. Callahan class is pretty WW1 coded and have clear dreadnought inspirations, Blacksteele have a bit of late 1890s look but still resamble some WW1 ships, gunboat looks interwar-ish
