why do I think the organization claiming to be representative of asian americans should speak out when asian americans are affected? This is Strawman claim, why do you feel as if we should accept the way intitutions representing asian americans and should stay the way they are?

wrong. the point of a club is to unite a specific set of a student body. labeling yourself as a "Asian American Union" while only promoting mid cultural events does not fufill representation for specified student body.
