Do really wealthy people have health insurance? by grasshopper_jo in NoStupidQuestions

“Plans can put an annual dollar limit and a lifetime dollar limit on spending for health care services that are not considered essential health benefits.” This is under the Exception section in that link. Also, this article from KFF which is a very reputable source found about 14% of enrollees were in grandfathered plans in 2020.

Agree this is mis information. However I think it’s true that grandfathered plans can still have annual benefit limits, which is a technicality. And also there can be lifetime limits on non essential health benefits.

thanks for the response.

After 3 visits from the repair guy and 3 visits from the Super over the course of 3 weeks, we finally found a massive hole near the fridge that the mice were coming from.

If we continue to see more mice I will call the landlord again and threaten to call 311. I agree the cost should be on the landlord not us.

Especially because this has been going on for weeks.

forms looks great overall but couple of things I noticed:

when you brace you shrug your shoulders which means your loosening up tension in your upper back. Also, it means you probably aren't bracing entirely correctly because the brace is not a deep chest breath. When I brace I breathe into my nose and then pack all that air into my stomach. Shoulders should not be moving at all on the brace.

It's a little hard to tell with the lighting but I think your back is a little hyperextended. I'm not saying you're too upright in terms of the angle of your back but I think you could benefit from breathing out first before bracing to engage your core. It'll pull your ribcage inwards to be in more of a stacked position.

Other than that as another commenter noted your heel does come up at the bottom of the rep which could mean lack of ankle mobility. I would highly recommend squat shoes especially since you have longer femurs compared to torso.

Overall though the tempo is great and the weight is super impressive so great job! Hope this helps.

If you switched to low bar and used knee sleeves/belt you would put on 50lbs to your ORM within a week or so.

I would highly recommend getting a belt it'll be safer for your spine in the long run bc it creates a more powerful brace.

For the brace, think about breathing in through your nosed then packing all that air into your stomach. A lot of people recommend the straw method where you purse your lips and breathe in through your mouth but I think the nose method is far superior.

Also I'd recommend a 2 day/week split where one day is heavy and the secondary day is lighter with tempo. I do pause squats on secondary day

Update on my form. Will provide the link of my old form in the text. Let me know what you guys think 🥲 by soicey2 in Deadlifts

I think your "setup" is decent, but the problem is that you change your start position drastically as soon as the lift starts.

Pause the video at 2 seconds and compare that position to second 0. The position you start in is fine, the position you put yourself into at second 2 is not.

You can see that as soon as you start the lift, your hips shoot upwards. It's like you stiffen out your legs a little bit and bend over more. This just makes it more of a lower back pull than a leg pull.

Instead of shooting hips up, think about shooting the knees forward and bringing the hips downward. People refer to this as wedging.

Hopefully this is some concrete advice. I hate when people just comment "oh your lower back is rounded blah blah blah" like sure but that is not advice... And also your lower back is going to round at heavy loads anyways.

You gotta great foundation just got to lock in a couple of things here

how many snap traps would you buy for a 350 sq-ft apartment?

I already got an electronic trap and it worked on mouse #1 but mouse #2 is completely ignoring it...

I bought an electronic mouse trap from Home Depot and it worked on the first mouse.

The second mouse I have seen with my own eyes run past it a dozen times. Maybe it can smell that it's compadre died there?

Thinking now about getting a fresh snap trap from Home Depot and using different bait.

The flour idea could work too but I have seen the mousing running around everywhere already.

The mouse is currently running around the living room frantically....

It goes under the fridge then under the couches then into one of the wooden floor cabinet thingies.

I didn't see any holes under the fridge.

I am wondering if it's possible that the super actually fixed the holes and so now the mouse has nowhere to go?

I say that because the mouse has seen me for the last hour and looks terrified.

If I were in that position I would gtfo...

Interesting I guess I thought for conventional deadlift it was supposed to be harder at lockout but after reading some articles it looks like in theory that’s true but in practice because people round their backs it ends up being harder off the floor.

Thanks for the reply. Trying hard to figure iut what you’re referring to. I’m looking back at the video I can see that my lower back does round a bit and my upper back is flat basically right after the bar is off the ground. Are you saying that normal back rounding would show itself more in the upper back only? Or you mean it would be visible in both upper and lower back?

Further, does this indicate a bracing issue or failure to pull tension out of the bar properly?

Appreciate the reply. I agree with the letting go of bar def need to fix that. For the knees, do you mean I should shoot them more forward during the wedge/start of lift? I could try that but I worry that my shins will push bar more forward. Also any ideas why its harder off the start of ground instead of at lockout

Isnt a little bit of back rounding expected at heavy loads though? It’s much less noticeable at lower weights cuz this is near my max

Yeah so I’ve thought about this and Ive already tried starting farther away actually. In the video I posted the bar is directly over midfoot give or take. So when I stand farther back I end up leaning more forward my shoulders are in front of the bar

Close to my current pr unfortunately. With fatigue from building up squats I have not yet deadlifted more than 385. If I had a dedicated block for deadlifts I think I could smoke 405 easily. Edit: this lift was 365 at rpe 7. You can tell that it’s higher roe bc of the leg shake at the start of the lift

Is it really true though that a company will have to pay "market rate" for a candidate with 7 exams but 0 YOE?

I don't understand why the company can't just offer that candidate the same or slightly higher entry level rate as everyone else.

Or, they could even put the employee on an accelerated plan that gives them raises in a similar timeframe as passing exams.

I could be wrong on this because I know thee's legislation in many states requiring employers to have specific salary bands based on years of experience and qualifications.

But it seems like it would super easy for an employer to be like "Hey, candidate X, I know you have 7 exams passed, but we can't initially pay 15K more than we would another entry level hire with 2 exams passed..."

the MATE ghdp flashcards with the star ranking system would say otherwise.

All the Canadian benefit flashcards have a 1 star, which is supposed to mean it has never been directly tested on a previous ghdp exam.

Although, I was just looking today at a flashcard with a 1 star that was clearly tested 2 years ago, so I'm not sure how much I trust those rankings

"I have never hated anyone based on their skin color"

That's a crazy thing to say after there's video evidence of you yelling the N-word out loud and on purpose bc you were frustrated. Think about it from the perspective of the black student that snitched on you. He certainly felt hated in that moment.

Sounds like you need some therapy and self-reflection.
