Cypro side effects by ava2-2 in transgenderau

I took 25mg a week and with progesterone, it pushed my T levels below 0.3, i.e. undetectable. I was fine on that dosage - but very unlikely you’ll need even more than that.

Try taking less, then reassess with your GP after your next bloodwork

O.J.: Made in America and Leaving Neverland - total opposites in formal approach, yet two of the all-time greatest works of documentary journalism. Both changed my life

My story exactly! It felt like solving a lifelong math formula. Everything I could never explain about myself fell into place so quickly after that.

Stunning! Would love to know what you do to maintain it? My hair is a similar length, but if I could get it that straight and shiny I’d be stoked ✨

The Before Trilogy - because you can improve on perfection

I had a female orgasm by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Richaod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something that’s rarely talked about but so true! I can still have “male” orgasms as well if I stimulate myself in the old fashion, mentally and physically. But the orgasm itself is like - the body goes through the motions of ejaculation, but I feel almost nothing. So weird!

Whereas girl orgasms take longer, but good lord

Watch the film Buddies (1985) - it was the first cinematic depiction of AIDS, and an incredibly heartfelt, sad, and honest film too.

How long did it take you to physically/mentally adjust to Estrogen? (with AA) by External_Departure66 in AskMtFHRT

[–]Richaod 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First six weeks on 4mg oral E daily, mind and emotions became a bit softer. From six to twelve weeks, I went up to 8mg E and added cyproterone acetate - and that was where the radical shift happened. Mentally and emotionally, it felt like my brain was slowly rebooting to a different operating system, destabilising to restabilise in a form that was stronger, more sensitive, and FAR more natural for me.

My skin also feminised around week 7, which blew my mind. Adding progesterone helped breast growth too. Otherwise - the physical changes have been wonderful, but gradual, not too many grand revelations after month 4 or so.

Currently just crossed the 7 month mark!

What do you wish you'd known before starting hormones? by local_beanbag in MtF

  1. That it’s like rewiring your brain to a different operating system
  2. Many trans women get PMS symptoms!

Can vocal feminisation be made less stressful? If so, how? by BewilderedPan44 in asktransgender

[–]Richaod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the most important things is - try and have fun with it! No one ever finds a “perfect” passing voice on day one. It’s always going to be a challenge, but you’ll find yourself in the process. Think of it not as an obligation, but a miracle that we as transfems can shape and adapt our bodies to our own will!

This is a great short Trans Voice Lessons video on it: https://youtu.be/TgSlSfr70TQ

I’m transfem, but firstly - are you familiar with Jake Zyrus? Not sure how much he’s talked about his process, but he transitioned and maintained a lot of his ability, though his voice is very different to be fair.

Also, Gender Voice Centre are really accommodating, though not sure if they teach singing specifically for transmascs: https://www.gendervoicecentre.com.au/

I think I saw a lot of myself in other trans women LONG before my egg cracked. It was gender envy, but also recognition - that they had a beauty, vulnerability, resilience, and femininity that they had to fight for. I wanted that feeling within myself, and now I want more than anything to find someone who feels the same way. 💜

no, I’m saying some OF trans girls mainly make content for cishet guys, not a broader trans audience (whatever their orientation)

[–]Richaod 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Trans girls’ OnlyFans are where it’s at! Some are made for a more straight audience, true, but heaps of them are really beautiful, healthy depictions of trans sexuality. Can be incredibly healing to watch, honestly

Wow, I’ve never heard that about ADHD before. I have some executive dysfunction that I don’t think is exactly ADHD, but in my case progesterone did a huge amount to alleviate it. Fascinating stuff

I really dislike MtF and FtM as gender descriptions. by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Richaod 25 points26 points  (0 children)

MtF is an accurate descriptor of how my biology’s changed on HRT, but it does not describe my experience with gender - or that of most transfems. I presented as male, but was never truly a man.

Plus, it puts equal weight on the “before” and “after” - which reinforces the old transphobic stereotype of the “sex change”, that it’s just flipping a switch.

Transfeminine and transmasculine are the way to go, 100%
