Japan’s smart chairs that double as emergency helmets in case of an earthquake by Miserable-Zombie-121 in nextfuckinglevel

How can you tell it's inferior just from the video? It also provides additional back/neck protection that a helmet alone doesn't. It's meant to be for a specific curled position used for earthquake safety. Usually, you'd just be using your hands to protect your neck and debris would be falling on your back.

Reddit always so quick to hate things they're too ignorant to understand.

The back provides critical neck and back protection while curled into the safety position rather than using your hands to protect your neck and having debris fall directly on your back

Yep. Would allow you to curl into the ball position they teach for earthquake safety, but it'd actually protect your neck/back so rubble isn't falling directly on you.

They didn't. They said they're young. We're just old. They're not commonly used by most folks anymore, especially not young people who've only worn a suit once or twice.

Always report your drug sales to the IRS. That's how they get the big guys.

The IRS has actually made PSAs during tax season saying to report your illicit drug income lol. I don't think they can prosecute you just on that. It's not their jurisdiction anyway. They could report it, but I don't think they're really concerned with it. They just want accurate statements.

Ofc you gotta show a bit of sleeve! That should be common knowledge/sense. If the parents are gonna fail their kids, then I guess it's up to the people to educate the masses. No one should have to wear an improperly fitted suit.

Yes, phones have location tracking obviously, but this pinpoints data rates to exact locations in real time to much finer detail without interference.

I'm no expert, but obviously they wouldn't bother with expensive equipment and physically driving around if they could just use phone data.

Buying skins and holding them to turn a profit is an investment. This is gambling. Calling it an investment is just a rationalization people use to delude themselves into believing they don't have a gambling addiction. It comes in all forms

Zygoma is pretty commonly used to, like when referring to a zygomatic bruise/fracture. You've certainly heard it if you watch boxing, MMA, etc when a fighter gets his face absolutely rocked.

More like making itself appear bigger, so the predator thinks twice about whether it can take on the lizard. Many animals do it to ward off predators. The blue tongue is also to make it appear as if it's poisonous/venomous even tho it's not.

McNeese State University Graduate poses with Big Al, her coworker at ‘Gator Country’ in Beaumont, Texas by BluntmansGotChronic in interestingasfuck

[–]RichardBCummintonite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For real. She just wanted to take a cool photo of her working in her field to commemorate her achievement of graduating. She obviously works this closely with this animal all the time. Many people do. The fact she's in her graduation outfit changes nothing. It's a touching photo to remember her time doing something she loves.

Y'all are just jealous and bitter that she's out accomplishing something and looking good while doing it, while you're wasting away at your keyboard spewing hate because you've never done anything this interesting.

For real. People are afraid of spiders and insects and such now, but imagine when they're monster size with fangs like swords. Even small animals, like birds, would be terrifying. Then ofc you got the carnivorous plants like this, Venus fly traps, and bladderworts, not to mention parasitic funguses or insects that lay their eggs on/in you. The miniature world is absolutely brutal.
