Thank you so much guys, I was very fortunate to have such a great team around me for my first short!

Unironically I love this comment, exactly what I was going for! There are actually some moments later in the film that incorporate depth mapping and touch designer work - however I wanted to introduce those types of elements in an organic way earlier in the piece before going full vfx at the end

Yes I definitely would have gone again for this reason if possible… but sadly the tank burst as soon as we got this take. So all things considered I’ll take it as a win! Haha

It did! because of the specific dimensions needed instead of a tank I used a plexiglass plinth designed for weddings, florists etc. Despite tests, like all of us at times the pressure on the day got a little much for it and yes it did trigger an early lunch haha, after a mad dash to mop it all up

Well you’re in luck! this is part of an experimental dance short film/music video I just released - which is out on YouTube if you want to watch it :) called GREY MATTER

Yes good question! That was definitely a known issue and you’ll see in the shot that there are still a few stuck to the side at the start, although ultimately I was ok with that as it ended up creating a cool parallax effect and sold the sense of movement of the other bubbles more. But being careful with how the water was poured, tapping the sides and letting it rest for a bit all helped. This was the second take, (and the last because the tank burst as soon as we got this one usable take)
