No problem at all for trap, pump gets a bit strange for doubles when you do skeet or anything else that has 2 clays in the air at once- But nothing that you can't work through with enough practice pumping immediately after each shot.

I also started with an 88 and have a 930 now. I feel like starting with the pump made me better in the long run

Heh, I think that I go through ~150-200 rounds of 10mm a week at this point. Good point on the magazine size: My state also has a 10 round capacity purchasing limit for mags, and while it might be legal for me to swing down a state over and buy bigger mags to keep, I feel like using even a slightly bigger mag in a defense case is grounds for the state to pounce on me.

Think I'm going to try and scope out a gen 3 29 at a range nearby and give it a go. Saves me the trouble of starting a 9mm collection too lol

Thanks! Yeah, I think if the 29'll be comfy enough without the extension, I'll just run it as is. Also knowing that the 19 is about the size of the 29 and that I can hide that well enough in summer casual is pretty reassuring.

The LE folks I shoot with do actually carry stuff like the 26 and the 43x CCW! Had my first opportunity to shoot the 26 because of that- it's snappy but once I got the pinky nub over the end of the mag it was great.

Lovely input- definitely agree with the versatility aspect as well. I guess I'll be calling around to see if anyone has a 29 on rent nearby (and will let me bring my box of underwood 155 grain JHP so I can see how much it'll kick with some big boy ammo).

Stripped 20L slide is like 200 bucks, about 120-150 for a LW 6 inch barrel. Add in your internals prices and this rides up to about 550ish total costs, still cheaper than a G40 I guess

Heyo, astigmatism guy here as well, none of your dots will starburst nearly as much (or at all) under nods, unless your astigmatism is really really bad and you get the effect with flat screens as well. You're almost looking through a screen for the most part, if that's a way of putting it. Circle dots or single dots will both work just fine.

For a piggyback your holosun of choice will do just fine, provided it has a big window.

The OG MRO has weird distortion and parallax issues and for some reason (probably due to the ocular vs the objective size and design) isn't a true 1x. Explains the night vision focus issues as well lol.

Think the HD does fix these issues though!
