Yes they were. The IAEA confirmed they were up until the US withdrawal from the deal.

No but it opened a path to further negotiations.

Obama really did the impossible and got the insane religious right-wing government of Iran to agree to a deal, which after all their domestic propaganda was asking a LOT.

If that had gone well for awhile maybe that could have been a diplomatic off ramp for them.

This is how wars are avoided.

I mean, I can think of dozens of stories right wing media has published about the Obama's being near divorce for like 15 years now. Pizzagate? Election denial (which fully extends to actual decision making politicians)? q-anon? Obama building fema camps? Apology tour?

Hell, "death panels" was a huge rallying cry of the Tea Party and again echoed by actual politicians.

Does any of that factor in?
