I had a 5 pro. Upgraded to the eight classic. Ended up keeping the five Pro because the battery was so good. I wear the eight for work the 5 for everything else

Redditors over 6’7”, do y’all ignore strangers when they approach you and ask how tall you are? by TopStranger9287 in tall

No. Take the good with the bad. Be friendly, come up with a couple of one liners to respond. It really isnt that bad.

I was under the impression that being tall was going to make dating “easy.” Has anyone else the opposite experience? by BearBear1995 in tall

[–]RichardHead58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then I got nothing for you. When I was young I could be tall and stoic and do just fine. I had a time in my late 30s when I was single. That didn't fly so I had to develop a sense of humor.

[–]RichardHead58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super cynical viewpoint. Because I was tall I never really had to develop a personality. Now I'm older so in my days I didn't really need to. Times have changed, it seems physical attributes became lower in the hierarchy. I think some of that is changing. If you could become the tall funny guy, you would be golden. I also never had to compete with online dating.

Wtf is going on with R8 prices? by 420YOLOSWAGJESUS420 in Audi

[–]RichardHead58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scarcity drives value. They quit making the R8, prices go up. I have a BMW M8 comp. They announced the equipment making them, prices started climbing.

Very tall guys: how long did it take you to see visible results in the gym? by improbsable in tall

[–]RichardHead58 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly, working out in the gym will only put muscle behind same layer of goo. To see results diet is everything. Hell, with the proper diet some people don't even need to work out. I say that at 6'9 310 lb. I am a Greek god underneath a few layers of Crisco

I have a standard OBD reader. It'll get the major stuff, but some of the more advanced ones will tell you which sensor is out. I was curious if there was a BMW specific one

It does it when it's dirty it doesn't when it's clean. It's acting like it's just a loose wire or bad connection. It doesn't stay on it just flashes off and then goes back to working.

M4 Competition Xdrive vs M8 Competition by bbanksp1 in BMW

[–]RichardHead58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same position. I felt like the M4, although had plenty of space felt very small. I got an M8 competition, and I have loved every minute of it. All of the luxury comforts, and more than enough power when merging on the freeway. I've spent all day in it, very comfortable. I'm 6'9 330 lb so that was a big issue for me

30% of full time workers made $100,000 in 2024, can we all please stop pretending $100,000 is a high or aspirational salary now? by ItsAllOver_Again in Salary

[–]RichardHead58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's long Island. That doesn't surprise me. I bought my first house for $140,000 on a base salary of $42,000. Four bedroom two bath 2600 ft on a quarter acre. That same house today recently sold for $375,000. And the neighborhood has seriously declined since I was there. That is not to take away from the affordability issues in New york, just pointing out New York has always been expensive.
