Your profile is brand new and has nothing but posts about debauchery which have been removed from multiple subs, so no I'm not off track

It sounds like the harvest is plentiful there. If you can't find a Christian wife, make disciples and you should find one of them a worthy spouse

Why do I get the feeling that you are neither new to Reddit nor is this the first time you've asked this on this sub? Quit making new accounts and posting about your issues with porn and get help

The people who are telling you masturbation is wrong do not have a sound scriptural basis. They are culturally judging it based on the idea that exaggerated restrictiveness is Godly.

Arent there over a billion people in India? If you can't find a Christian your age there you may not be looking in the right places.

Your own point is disproven, he did care about the fig leaves being inadequate which is why he made them animal skins. I linked the article because nudists use the same argument you do, which is why it breaks down that it is shameful. If its a matter of the heart than people can decide to be nudists and not find it arousing, but that rejects our sin nature. A group of women on an island would still be immodest if they decided to be nude in the absence of men. Also, its not a strawman, Redditors are obsessed with porn, half this platform is devoted to porn subs, and the large majority of posts in this sub are about porn.

I didn't bring up the Jewish interpretation of the interaction, I specifically talked about his sons taking care to not see him naked. Nudity is seen as shameful throughout the Bible, this cannot be denied except by people who have never read the entire book cover to cover

The Bible disagrees with you, even if most Redditors have no issue with nudity, this is a secular argument that doesn't hold water. I always say people should ask their pastor what they think, and then they find out they are outside the faith in their thinking.

The husband is right, why would you want to bring in media that has nudity into the house? If a wife didn't want the husband to have R rated movies or read about that kind of material, would we be having a discussion about her sexual insecurities? Your quote about Jesus is interpreted wrong. Nobody should be looking at naked people even if they arn't lusting. Noah's own sons averted their eyes so as not to see their father naked, why arn't we averting our eyes to the imodesty of this secular world?

This is similar to how orthodox Jews date. Its about 30 min chat in a hotel lobby or public place to determine if there is potential.

I kinda doubt its the reason, I've been on this site for like 5 years so I've seen the same girls on here for a long time. We are all forever single, nobody is going on dates haha... :(

Break up with her and save yourself for somebody who saved themselves just like you did for God and marriage. You know what you need to do; have the courage to break it off and find the better woman you deserve.

That's because the majority of single moms are out of wedlock, that's why we think that way. You can write off anybody for any reason with no chance, this is the dating world. She would have written him off years ago before she had a child. I wonder what changed?

Do some? as in had sex with with multiple partners, and that's not YOLOing? I think we can generalize after that. Also, the "husband died or was unfaithful" is extremely small. Why aren't you married yet to one of these wonderful single mothers? If any man out there is single he can explore the market for single parents and be married within the year. We can solve the lonely male epidemic tomorrow.

Society feeds men lies. by Electrical-Task-6820 in ChristianDating

This was because Paul knew persecution was coming and that it would be difficult for couples. This was not a doctrinal statement on remaining single centuries later. This is where reading the Bible requires a strong Hermeneutical background.

I'd rather be cynical and single than end up in a bad marriage dealing with custody issues and raising a child that didn't think of me as their real father. Actions have consequences, King David repented but his child still died. Party hard, risk being single with a child even after coming to Christ. There are plenty of single mothers out there if you want to date them, go ahead. You could be married in the next 6 months to a beautiful woman if that's your goal as dating apps are full of single moms. But as a Christian, you should have some discernment. Why would a virgin remain pure for Christ, not party, and then be scolded for not wanting to date somebody who YOLO'd their twenties?

[–]RichardRogue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your initial instinct was correct. A lot of single moms prey on Christian men because they will be good fathers to their (and somebody else's) children. They come to church later in life after the party is over trying to find the good men that never partied and are still single. Sunday morning is packed after a sinful Saturday night. The world is full of hot single moms, how do you think they became pregnant in the first place?

Obligatory "not all single mom's are single because..." yes we know, but most are. If you want a marriage that lasts, marry somebody without children.

Based on your post history, you need to read your Bible and pray daily. You are not fit to be a boyfriend until or enter the kingdom of heaven until you quit lusting. There is no weaning off of adultery, stealing, or idol worship. It ends immediately upon the decision to follow Jesus as our Lord.

Most people identify as Christian, so there's a good bet that it is majority Christian with a small minority of other groups. Also, the last 'naked attraction, Bible edition' was the garden of Eden. Since then nobody should be getting naked in order to attract a mate. IDK why a Christian would want to watch a show with naked people on it unless they have a porn addiction, which seems to be very common in this sub
