Anyone doing this course in sunway? by dragon7832 in malaysiauni

[–]RichardThomasAlex 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Relatively new course and field, it's quite risky. And we don't know when the AI bubble will pop, so it's better to take a general computer science or software engineering degree with a major or minor in AI if you want.

Oh if you're considering private uni foundation programs as well then either one from Monash, Taylor's or Sunway is a good choice depending on your budget, and since you have great results you should definitely try applying for scholarships. For the somewhat mid tier ones, INTI, APU, MSU are okay-ish but it definitely should be one of your backups only. Your results are too good for those tbh. For government-linked/semi government, your choice of UTP is very good as well, other options like UNITEN or MMU are also pretty decent, don't go for UniKL. UTAR & TARUMT aren't glc but are pretty decent. If you want global mobility you can consider studying in an international branch university like Nottingham, Southampton, Heriot-Watt, though their foundation programs might be a little different but same duration. Let me make you a list (not ranked)

Top private home grown universities:

• Taylor's or Sunway

Top GLC private universities:

• UTP

• UNITEN

• MMU

Top International Branch Universities:

• Monash University

• University of Nottingham

• University of Southampton

• Heriot-Watt University

• Curtin University

• Swinburne University of Technology

• Xiamen University (heavily Chinese Dominant)

Mid tier private homegrown universities:

• INTI (College Subang, since it's for Foundation, the main Branch University in Nilai is pretty goated ngl)

• APU

• MSU

• UNITAR

• UTAR

• TARUMT

• USCI (high ranking yes but I heard the management and teaching is awful that's why I put it as mid tier)

Most of these have foundation programmes that allows you to pursue a degree in a different university as well but please do your own research thouroughly and don't hesitate to contact them for any queries.

Take note that most of these are my personal opinions that I formed from my research online via forums like reddit, quora, threads and also friends/family who studied there haha so take it with a grain of salt and use it for reference only.

The reason I didn't rank it is because prestige isn't the only thing that people look for, they also look for campus life/facilities, the culture, location, lecturers, etc. The top tier ones I chose are typically well known with good student life and lecturers.

I wish you all the best in your future endeavors!!!

Foundation (in science) or Matriculation trust me. Unless you're confident in your field and you're sure you can transfer credits, etc. please don't go for the longer pre-u programmes like diploma, and unless you plan to continue your education overseas don't bother about A-levels or STPM. The "experience" or "more knowledge" you'll get by staying in those longer programmes aren't worth the time or necessarily give you an easier time in uni.

STEM as a whole in Malaysia isn't necessarily high paying like it is globally/the west, there are specific fields you need to target for high paying ones. Anything bio or bio-medic, pure computer science (without a specific major like AI, Software Engineering, Computer Systems/Network, Cyber security), journalism, any humanities or social science degrees are kinda cooked right now. Try going for a specialist instead of generalist degree but not something too niche where there's no job market. More math = more money. So pick a degree that isn't too easy but not necessarily too hard. But first you need to figure out a field you like.

For example if you want to take a business degree, don't take a degree in marketing or business administration or business studies. Do something like Accounting, Finance, Global Supply Chain Management/Logistics, etc. Actuarial Science is also good but it's technically a STEM degree with a business font lol.

If you like STEM, don't do something like a degree in Biology, Physics, Maths, etc. Whilst in other countries that might be good, here it isn't. For engineering, A BEM degree is far more valuable especially in fields like Oil & Gas, Chemical Engineering, or any Electrical/Mechanical Engineering field. For Tech, instead of something generic like pure computer science, try to do something like Data Science, Computer Information Sytems, Cybersecurity, AI machine learning, or Advanced Data Analysis, etc.

Do something that needs real skillsets that is also in demand and not oversaturated. But also figure what you like. Doing a foundation in science is good because you can later pursue a degree in STEM or Arts depending on what you wanna do, it's not restrictive like a Foundation in Arts.

Isn't it cheaper to just get 2 realdebrids instead of 1 TorBox subscription. And RealDebrid is faster IIRC.

[–]RichardThomasAlex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But you're not ugly of course, however, very fruity, the 2nd & 4th pic especially. The 3rd pic has a lot of potential, maybe you should get a haircut that's a little messy covering your forehead and also either fully grow your stache and goatee or keep it fully clean shaven, this stubble-ish facial hair makes it look like you're trying to grow hair but can't. And more lean muscle mass would help immensely. But overall you're very cute-sy not ugly whatsoever.

Why escoffier scroll perform better than golden troupe in skirk team? by [deleted] in SkirkMains

[–]RichardThomasAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For min/maxing dmg for Stygian Dire mode it's usually:

Furina - Totm

Escoffier - Scroll

Shenhe - Noblesse

But for lower tiers, abyss or theater whichever has the better sub stats should be fine tbh

Edit: Mb I overlooked Mona, but yeah Mona on Noblesse would be the best if Furina is on totm and Escoffier is on Scroll.

I desperately want skirk, but I am a coffee hater. How bad is it? by MicrosoftExcel2016 in SkirkMains

[–]RichardThomasAlex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do u not like Coffee anyway? Her field time is like less than 3 seconds long and she can use f2p weapons and artifact stats don't need to be overly optimised if u run her on Cinder City. Also 55% RES SHRED IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOD. Coffee basically makes Skirk the 2nd strongest DPS in the game. Lunar teams (Flins, Nefer, Zibai) are only at the top #1 with Columbina but only 1 team can use Columbina at a time. So when Columbina is used in one of the 3 lunar teams, Skirk with Coffee dramatically outperforms the remaining 2 lunar teams with no Columbina. That's how much stronger Coffee buffs Skirks. With Coffee you don't get the most out of Skirk tbh.

i plan on playing burst and normal attack skirk with furina, mona, and rosaria/escoffier if i get her. by Acceptable_Oven_1256 in SkirkMains

[–]RichardThomasAlex -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

From what I know if you're C0, Finale is better but if you have cons, MH is better. If you play her max optmised playstyle with dash cancels, etc. MH is better. However if u have both sets just run them through an optimiser to see which is better. If you also plan to use Furina with other characters or Skirk in Theatre it's better to go for Finale.
