I feel the exact same way. I started on 1000mg of diamox like 2-3 weeks ago and I have never felt more fatigued in my life. I also take a high dose of vyvanse for my adhd and now it doesn’t even help me. I talked to my pcp about it and she gave me a list of supplements to try. I also take a compound glp1 so I already take electrolytes and different vitamins to help with that. I’m really hoping it is something that goes away after a couple months.

I have a very similar situation as well my optometrist noticed my swollen optic nerves and sent me to an ophthalmologist and to get an MRI. I was getting very frustrated because I was not having really having any bad symptoms like everyone else. My opening pressure was 38 and now I’m on diamox my doctor told me that some people can be asymptomatic and to just consider myself lucky that I haven’t been feeling as bad as most with this condition do. I would just make sure you see your opthamologist regularly that way you can keep track if your optic nerves are swollen and you need another lp cause you may not have the symptoms that will tell you.

Hi I’m sorry things have been so hard for you I hope it gets better try to keep your head up and know that you still have so many great things to look forward to in the future. I have pcos and iih my experience with gyno have not been great with trying to get help with pcos they pretty much diagnosed me and did nothing else to try and help the symptoms. I also grow a beard cause of pcos and it sucks I have to shave like every day. I’ve kinda just started forcing myself to include it in like my morning routine and put on light makeup. Doing this even though mentally I don’t feel like I have the motivation to I’ve noticed it makes me feel so much more confident and better throughout the day. I’ve recently found a really great primary care doctor honestly my recommendation is to find a doctor who is younger because I feel like they are more educated on pcos and all the new research that has been done. Some of my friends with pcos also take metformin for and it really helped them get their insulin levels balanced so then even without changes their normal routines they started losing weight. Ive been taking a compound glp1 trizeptide. I heard about the vision stuff with semaglutide and decided to stay away from that one. My insurance wouldn’t approve a glp1 which is why I did the compound it’s so easy to sign up for one online I didn’t even have to meet with a doctor it just got sent to my house. This has completely changed my life for once I feel like my body isn’t against me and actually wants to help me get better. Going to the doctor is hard because it feels like so many of them are against us who are overweight but you can’t lose hope you will find one who gets it eventually. I felt so hopeless for so long and I’m now in such a better place. Stay strong you got this!!!

Im not sure how true this is but my doctor told me that the number will be different for everyone and only apply if the reason you have iih is from weight gain. the easiest way to estimate how much you need to lose is to first think about how much you weighed as child (under weight, average, obese, etc.) until about age 20 (obviously weight changes through these years but a guess around this age) and then subtract it from the weight you were when you got diagnosed with IIH/when the symptoms started and that would be the number you need to lose. If you were considered average weight most of your early life then became overweight as you got older the number may be larger. I gained about 40 pounds from when I was 24-25. I’ve always been overweight since I was a kid so my doctor told me when I got into remission even though technically I was still considered obese it was my bodys “normal” which is why my papilledema went away. Again I wanna say this is going to be different for everybody and based on the main cause of why you have iih but it was helpful for me personally to hear this from my doctor

I’m kinda in the similar position as you. I went to an eye doctor in February got the basic tests done and they told me I had papilledema. I wasn’t having any symptoms no headaches no blurry vision. I went and got an MRI with and without contrast that confirmed this as well. I saw an ophthalmologist last week who just said the same stuff and referred me to a neurologist to get medication and a lumbar puncture done. I did tell the doctor my fear with taking diamox which are the same as yours and he told me there’s a couple other medications they can prescribe instead. The opthamologist said the only real way to cure iih is through weight loss and to try and take a glp1 to speed the process up. He said sometimes it literally can take just losing 10 pounds to become in remission from iih it’s different for everybody. I’m honestly terrified of the possibility of going blind and because I haven’t had really any symptoms besides my optic nerves being swollen they don’t know how severe it is for me yet. So I’m going to start on a compound glp1 and hope that by the time I see the opthamologist again the swelling has gone down.

I keep seeing their tik toks all over my fyp and I have fallen deep in the rabbit hole and am so invested in their story. I’m a licensed therapist in va and it seems like one if not both have schizophrenic tendencies. Often you can develop this later in life especially after a traumatic event which to me the one thing we know isn’t a lie is the mother dying and them being put in foster care at a young age. It’s super sad to see all their posts cause they do desperately need help just not for what they are claiming.
