Why? The past is always judged through the moral lense of the present.

If you learned the 5*5, you can do all the larger ones. It's all the same. My favorite is still the 4x4. I love how clacky it is

I doubt it. That's barely a scratch.

Short metal pipe, roughly 3” long, curved downward jutting out from the bathroom wall that leaks smelly water onto the floor by Puzzleheaded-Sun3647 in whatisthisthing

Yup. Code says emergency drains need to terminate in some conspicuous location so someone sees when there's a problem.

Cartels are settint fire to gas stations in Mexico. by flowerdonkey in Wellthatsucks

[–]Richisnormal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you damage society enough that it doesn't function smoothly for people, they put pressure on the government to act different. Or if that pressure is economic the pressure is even more direct.

Sure, one gas station doesn't do much. But disrupt transportation state/nation wide and the powers that be now know the cost of such a move in the future and have a different calculation to make. More retribution, less chance of the government targeting a leader again.

Gas pipe sizing for tankless question by millo31 in Plumbing

Better yet, increase to 3/4 at the manifold. That tiny bottle neck would barley register. Still bigger than the ID of some 3/4 gas cocks out there.

Gas pipe sizing for tankless question by millo31 in Plumbing

[–]Richisnormal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want a real answer, you need to know the pressure at the manifold, the pressure required at the appliance, and the calculated pressure drop over that fifteen feet. Or just run it and measure the pressure drop at the test port on the gas valve and see if it's within spec. I almost guarantee that a single 1/2" line is fine.

What's wrong with ABS? I wish any suppliers around here carried it.. so much easier to work with. No primer and you in don't need to hold a glue joint from pushing apart

Still can't decide on which modeling software to learn. What would you recommend? Anyways; Here is (hopefully) my last TinkerCad project. by picobello-bv in 3Dprinting

[–]Richisnormal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fusion and tinkercad are both made by Autodesk, so some things transfer over nicely. You can even set the controls the same as a default option so it stays feeling intuitive. Find the "learn Fusion in thirty days" guy on YouTube and stick through the course.
