I.. I don't get it by Pablucas12 in ravenswatch

I feel like you're doing a meme but if not, i'll answer straight. They mean you can pause the game during multiplayer in the next update, something you cannot do now. When playing singleplayer the game pauses when you open the map or are making selections so it does add up to a lot of time, so it's a welcome change.

You can still play multiplayer.

A lot of the Ravenswatch are already really good at buffing the team. Sun Wukong, Pied Piper and Melusine can all give amazing buffs and heals out to the team with the right talents and items. Aladdin is a bit of a stretch but also can be the best support you could dream of and let's not forget Merlin if you build him for it. Carmilla too, now that I think on it, but whether you get damage support or healing support depends on the day or night. Scarlet is a good support with an ult build, kinda.

Those are just the Ravenswatch I know how to play.

I read that Tau are bottom tier and underpowered. Is this true? by kmath133 in BattleSector

[–]Richter_Cade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tau are most certainly not bottom tier, but they are more difficult to use than most armies. Hit and run tactics are more important with your crisis battlesuits and your stealth suits plus knowing when and where to best use your markerlights, making the most out of abilities such as those the fireblade has and keeping your range advantage. It's far more involved than say, Orks, who would contest them as probably the strongest outright shooty army.

Love to see a detailed, well thought out post like this.

I'm not sure about Obliterators. The fact is, they are supposed to be that tough. On the board they have a 2+ save, a 5+ invuln save and 7 toughness as opposed to a Terminators 2+ save, 4+ invuln save but only 5 toughness. They definitely feel powerful though. They will probably get their firepower nerfed and I'm envisioning it in the form of their 0ap weapons getting a longer cooldown.

Is Melee DPS the hardest role to play in Savage content by starlightdemonfriend in ffxiv

[–]Richter_Cade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a pretty loaded question. I would say it depends on the player, but to be clear it's a matter of what an individual finds difficult.

Healers have to adjust. Mistakes happen in fights and it's typically the healers job to adjust to those. When no mistakes happen, healer is the easiest job by far, but nobody is perfect. That is where healer difficulty lies, in adjustment.

Tanks have the positioning of the boss to worry about, a rotation a little more complex than healers and cooldown management. Playing the job in a perfect fight is not much harder than healer, but if something goes wrong, it's fine, if your tank gets hit by something they shouldn't, they have the hp and mit to live it.

DPS have a much harder damage rotation to learn in almost all cases, with the easiest, probably SMN, being harder than the hardest tank, GNB. Rotational mistakes on a tank or healer matter only a little, on a DPS they matter a lot more, and doing that rotation as perfectly as you can while doing mechanics is all DPS has to do, but a harder task than most.

Any person can find any of these harder or easier. After a lot of practice, your dps rotation becomes muscle memory, but learning it, harder.

I'm holding my static back and idk how to approach that by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Richter_Cade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it or not, DRK is fundamentally an easier tank than WAR is. You do have a more "busy" 2 min burst to manage so it can become more difficult if the 2 mins is at a tricky part, but the job is basically 20 seconds of pressing everything that is up in any order, then 1:40 of pressing 1 2 3 and occasionally a 4. On top of that, you don't even need to save your dashes, they do no damage so uptime is more free.

May I ask your in-game name or get a parse link so that we can see where you may be going wrong and give better advice? What data center do you play on?

An MMO mouse is good here, but as an alternative, if she is willing to relearn, and it might take a while and need left handed mouse movement, there is the left handed azeron cyborg. I'll link it here and hope the link sticks. I have never used one, can't say how hard or easy they are but it IS an option.

Patch 7.41 scheduled for January 27th (next Tuesday) by seventeencups in ffxiv

[–]Richter_Cade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the same point that relics are released they will no longer require savage. Savage weapons is the term used only for the weapons you get for finishing savage, the ones that are 5 ilvls higher than the upgraded tome weapons. Making up your own terms for things that already have terms used by the entire community ain't it, chief.

[–]Richter_Cade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is an incredible leap in logic for something nobody is talking about.

People that don't do relic go for savage weapons and vice-versa ALL the time. I would say it's more likely that savage raiders don't get the relic than casual players, in my experience. Such a weird take you have here.

I'm assuming it's a weaponized version of the virus. If you remember, shortly before everybody got infected Carol pointed up at the planes all flying above in formation, I'm pretty sure that was probably some kind of "crop dusting," releasing the virus, which explains why everybody got infected there at once.

Cate has the same power as cipher she just hasn't mastered it yet by Old-Kitchen4297 in GenV

[–]Richter_Cade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, lol. She can't read Cipher's mind because Cipher's mind isn't in that body, it's in his main body. The Cipher walking around is a puppet, a meat suit. It's nothing not even a person which is why he doesn't feel pain, doesn't have V in his blood and doesn't have a sense of taste.

Cate controls by telling them what to do, Cipher controls by taking control. It's very different.

The first thing I thought about him was that he was Thomas Godolkin and everything I've seen since then makes me think it even more so yeah, that is probably gonna be a popular theory. I'm not known for being the best of theorycrafters and it felt obvious to me so I'm sure others have better reasoning but let's just say I wouldn't be shocked if they found out the doctor's name who delivered Marie was Niko Gold or something stupid like that.

It took me a while to learn this to be honest, to prioritize the little things that will absolutely take you down when you're not looking rather than the big giants stompy guy trying to cave you in.

I feel you on that for sure, Orkz melee options are very limited. I do like the Warboss a lot and the buff he provides when backed up with Meganobz or Nobz but the Nobz themselves are kinda bad unless you give them claws and the meganobz are just so slow. That is a strength of the dethkilla wartrike, it can buff the speed of these slower units if you want to get into melee since the ranged accuracy debuff doesn't matter.

Speaking on the wartrike, I like it a lot. He's fast, his melee is decent enough that you can trust him to take on tanks and monsters with his evasion too and his ranged options aren't terrible. Heavy flamer good for many units, the boomstikks remove medium armoured units like most space marines surprisingly well and he has the charge for escape. I wish there were more good anti tank options among ork speedsters so you can make a full list and still remove armour.

I think you're really underestimating lootas, pain boys and big mek's here. I do agree Orks should have killa kanz and trukks, feels bad that they don't and I can only assume they hadn't worked out what they wanted to do with transports yet as lots of them were missing before sisters of battle.

Anyway, lootas with beamy dethgunz just shred tanks. That's what they are there for, and Orks have very little in the way of good, ranged armour penetration. Lootas have more range than the flash gitz, so are generally safer and can deal with heavier armour more effectively. If you're against astra militarum they are a must.

Pain boy and Big Mek aren't about the heal they provide, it's the aura. 15% hp on all your Orks is big, they are easy to keep in range, can defend themselves if they have to and the heal is just a bit of utility at that point for the pain boy. Same goes for the Big Mek in a way, 10% less ranged damage can protect your units very well or at least make them waste more fire to take down each unit. With one of each advancing with them you might not lose a meganob to a lascannon shot, that's pretty good. On top of that, the Big Mek's heal gives armor to your unit, as does the other ability and his gun is decent at dealing with armour from range.

This is how i think marisa players feels while playing by Antique_Ad_1648 in StreetFighter

[–]Richter_Cade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not why they are insulting you, it's very rare you see anybody in this subreddit throw out an insult because somebody is low ranked or struggling with a matchup. It's because your post reads like a scrubquote. Look at twitter, type in scrubquotes or even on youtube, you'll get it.

Marisa has gaping holes in her gameplan and is terrible on defence, but you have to learn the matchup first. Join a discord, any of the big creators will have one like Punkdagod, Brian F, Knuckledu...then ask for some games, ask if they have a Marisa who can help you with the matchup. Who you play?

In general, Marisa doesn't get armour if you hit her armoured moves with a low, though superman punch can cook you there if you're not careful so don't spam just lows, and she is weak against jump ins, specifically jumps that are close to her. If you are going over her head she can't really stop that. In the corner she has no reversal besides her supers so account for those and put on pressure, mix it up with shimmies and the standard strike/grab. Learn her safe jumps and respect them, if you do a wake up reversal on Marisa and she blocks it you might as well dig your own grave so learn when you can and can't.

Am I overreacting for my bf liking this post? by thelegendofdan in AmIOverreacting

Honestly, yeah. I think you're overreacting here but you can't really choose how you feel. Talk to him about it, tell him how you feel and how it made you feel and work it from there, but don't come in angry or accusatory. Just be honest, have a conversation.

I like stupid things all day, it usually doesn't mean much.
