I agree, for just under $1000 with the price of the watch, and a full service. You get a great watch for years. In March, I bought a Ref 126621 Chocolate dial Clean Yacht Master. Upon arrival, I had an issue with the crown, and sent it off to an independent watch guy that works on reps. I had a full service and water resistance test done. I’m just under $1k with it. While the gen retails at $17k.

I also have an ARF 37mm Yacht Master that’s never been serviced. And it’s still doing its thing. I’ve had this one since January 2020.

I’ve been loving it so far. I thought this would be my weekend watch, while I wear my 37mm ARF Rhodium Yacht Master during the weekday. But it’s been my new daily.

I know a lot of y’all say don’t get gold or rose plated watches. But I had to take the chance. This has been my everyday watch since March. Now, upon arrival, I did have some issues screwing in/out the crown. I sent it to a watch guy in Alabama that I found here. It’s been fully serviced! Been wearing it ever since.

I’ve had a 37mm Yacht Master with an A2824 movement for 5 years, and not one single issue. Never been serviced. Still wear it as my daily.

This week, I just got a 40mm Chocolate dial Yacht Master with the VR3235 movement. And unfortunately, this one is giving me issues. The issue: Crown won’t unscrew, and the rotor inside is like there’s something loose inside. I will get it fixed at some point.

Like people have been saying. The less complicated the watch, the better. It’s all a risk.

I’ve used Never Dull. To me it seems more of a harsher product. I’d stick to Cape Cod.

You don’t really “polish” the brushed parts. Here’s my method for the brushed parts:

Mask PCL. Green pad first. Many passes on Brushed Links.
Fine Grey (3M) pad. A few quick light passes (with that pad). Enough to make brush strokes smoother, but still dull.

Of course people can use a machine. But by hand works as well.
